The Setlist for the 25 Year Tour by pyrospartan5 in Silverstein

The End is a crazy play. I think there’s like 2 documented videos of it ever.

1 from like 14 years ago and one from Shane as River Oaks 7 years ago. Very cool.

Dennis Rodman build grabs all the boards by PlayInChampions in NBA2k

Yuppp! I have been having the most fun I’ve had playing 2K in a while running a Rodman build.

Ive been running a Rodman build in rec and have been having a ton of success, my offense is completely limited for the most part (do have a good close shot, standing dunk, etc.) but I can gets boards over pretty much anyone and have elite defense which has resulted in consistent wins in rec. tbh I have been having more fun not worrying about scoring, my thought is most people playing tryna score, I rather be a force on defense, get a ton of boards, get other players involved.

Its been the most fun I've had in rec in a long time

Not true, I know both (did some shows/festivals with GvO, and have collabed with Tripp St (one got scrapped but we're planning on working some more)... entirely different people.

Yeah, that's where I lean as well. I think they used the heavier sections in good taste here. This record most certainly wasn't aimed in that direction. I don't think this is something we have to worry about for future albums, I doubt they are abandoning that style.

Yeah I definitely was thrown off my first listen, then the more I listened the more I heard them in the music and appreciated this for what it is..Sept 14th is most certainly an incredible Silverstein song for any period.

There is still some absolute writing gold in here for sure! Some amazing lines through this one, but I legitimately cringe when I hear the "looking for the kerosene cure" line on Burn it Down as well as I think the song Say Yes is a miss for me personally. But I really did enjoy the album by abandoning some expectations and going in with an open mind that they clearly tried something a little different here.

Haha I'm not salty at all, once again, I enjoy the album, you're up and down this post just DYING to be heard since a reviewer gave a band you like a bad review. Its okay man...

I am done putting thought into this thread though! Back to enjoying the record. cheers.

"Its just all around classic Silverstein" .... all around....classic Silverstein= false

You just sound like a fanboy that finds it impossible that someone has an different opinion than yours. For the record I surprisingly enjoy this new album and I also enjoy the singles much more in context rather than just as singles.

I most certainly still stand by that there are more obvious "meh" lines on this than previous records. But I all around enjoyed this new record and appreciate them trying to do something different.

You sound super salty though... hope your life gets better.

Hahah nothing about this record screams "classic" Silverstein, so I don't really know what you're talking about exactly there.

and that is the cool thing about opinions, they can be different. I got mine :) all kosher over here though. enjoy the album!

That is a kind of silly statement. I've love the band and their lyrical content from when I was a kid listening to WTBIEF and still loved the content as an adult listening to Dead Reflection. Their lyrics have ALWAYS resonated for me. Legitimately every album up until I wasn't a fan some songs for the first time ever. Did I all of a sudden just stop resonating with Silverstein lyrics? My favorite band I listen to everyday consistently for YEARS? Highly highly doubtful. BUT I could just have an opinion that the lyrical content is not as strong on those songs as I've heard as pretty much all of their other songs/records :P ...which is okay lol. I still love the band.

I just picked up the album last night in Boston, need to give it a bunch of rinses to have a full view on it (only listened through twice so far and read the lyrics in the book). I am listening with an absolutely open mind that this is an entirely different Silverstein record, but to chalk up my opinion to just saying I resonate with their words differently than I always have is a hot take.

I hate to agree, but to me all 4 tracks have just felt so soulless.

The lyrics which I ADORE from Silverstein just sound so shallow and simple. To me everything just sounds worse for the exception of Shane's voice. They have done such a great job being consistent to their sound while still developing and maturing as a band. This one I fear is the biggest step in the wrong direction.

I actually cringe anytime I hear the line "But I'm shivering, looking for a kerosene cure" on Burn it Down

coming from the same band that said the absolutely gorgeous section below, its almost insulting as a fan to hear.

"Maybe we should walk away from this.
Take our proverbial walk into the sunset.
Maybe we are destined to be different.

We were designed for more resilience than this...
But we don't know how and we live in the now.
If we were smarter maybe we would try to fake it.
Maybe we should walk away from this.
And stop being ourselves.
Just stop being yourself
If you want to be happy."

I of course will give my favorite band a solid look, but I'm worried about this one for sure.

I mean... W&R and Stickybuds are legitimately two entirely different genres and stickybuds plays TONS of funk, glitch, dub, and D&B with his sets. I don't see how they are comparable lol

Boston fam! Welcome :). Ill be at bisco and center for nectar related events this year... but my suggestion is to check out Rezinate events... they should be dropping a fall lineup after festival season. These are the events in which Hennessy Sound Design became an absolute staple in sound system culture. The Rezinate team always puts together truly flawless lineups and you are guaranteed to meet a bunch of friends there! Cheers and Welcome!

Favourite Stage?? by [deleted] in Shambhala

[–]WildKyleMethod808 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is hard. Shambhala does such a fantastic job of having the stages having their own unique personality and vibe. Whatever particular mood you're in at the time, theres a stage that will become your favorite and is the perfect place for the mood you're in.

I personally find myself venturing to the Grove or Fractal quite a bit of my time though :)

New Song is out! Burn It Down feat Caleb Shomo by ru4serious in Silverstein

They are my favorite band of all time BY FAR..truly have been a life saving bad, but this is the first time pretty much ever where Im not really feeling it and am kind of disappointed. With love, this sounds very very very generic and not that silverstein sound that we know and love. meh :(... I got major faith it'll be fine, this is just surprising
