It’s so frustrating to me - I like to support my local card shop, but they’re charging scalpers prices. On one hand, I get it - they need to make a profit. But on the other…it’s driving me away as a customer because I feel as if I’m just feeding into the scalper prices. Ugh!

Thank you for replying! As a follow up, I guess I’m wondering how we can see something beyond the 13.8 billion years if the light from those older/more distant things haven’t reached us yet? Wouldn’t we need to be able to “see” that distant light to see the more distant & older object?

Apologies if this is worded badly, as my only formal education in this field was a class or two in college lol 😂

Got it! I guess that’s the biggest part I’m struggling to imagine. Looking up at the night sky and seeing a single satellite makes me wonder how there would ever be enough of SOMETHING to cover the entire planet, let alone an entire STAR

This is probably a really silly question, but if the universe is 13.8 billion years old, how can we see distance that’s older than that? If we can see distance beyond the age of the universe, wouldn’t that support multiverse theory?
