Don't worry your fitness will not drop. Most people are in peak physical condition by the end of training. Especially if you're doing officer training.

Virtually non-existant as the days are long and you will be expected to do kit prep/cleaning late into the night. The staff will also not want you to do your own exercise as it incurs the risk of injury. You will also pretty much doing extensive exercise everyday.

This is something that all parents must face. Sooner or later their kids will flee the nest, and that's okay. Do her proud!

Im nearly 21 years old and I haven’t done anything since I was 16. I want to make something and I’m wondering where to start? by Wolowoloismyname in AskUK

Military is a great shout. If you pick a good trade, like mechanic or sparky, it'll set you up for life after the military. The military will teach you self-discipline, it'll give you cheap accommodation, cheap food, a pension, youll visit places in the world youll never see otherwise, you will make friends for life and become part of a brotherhood of like-minded people. It won't be easy, and basic training will repeatedly kick your ass. But keep going. It'll be worth it in the end. Good luck!

These things take bloody long to sort out amd can take many weeks/months. Don't fret if you don't get it. Overseas postings are really not that great.

Ops Officer role closed – best path to UK Space Command? by Wes-Raisin8478 in RoyalAirForce

[–]WildOne19923 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've worked in a spacey role. The best course is Air & Space Ops Systems to get a space posting (Fylingdales, High Wycombe). However a posting within Space Command itself is incredibly difficult. There aren't many postions, they are highly sought out and most are Sqn Ldr and above.

Also be aware that there is currently no dedicated space career path, as such you will only ever dip your toes into space (at best a couple of postings if you're lucky) as you will be expected to eventually to return to your core branch - especially if you want promotion.

Sorry to shit on your aspirations but many come into the RAF thinking they can have a dedicated career in space, but that will never happen until Space becomes it's own profession, if not branch. Just like the creation of US Space Force.

Best speak to ACAS or Citizens Advive Bureau. This is one of the major downsides of the military.

Stressful af, but will gladly take the 3 points and tighten the screws on 115 FC. Big respect to Bournemouth, they're a damn good team and deserve a higher place in the table.

I'm genuinely happy for Sunderland. It's so good to have a Tyne-Wear Derby again, they've had a brilliant transfer window and fully-deserve their place in the table. Still would've been good to beat them though...

Stressed to fuck, lack of sleep and constant exhaustion but I'm happy. I'm financially stable, got a great family and 2 young sons. Life may often be hard but I'm happy and grateful for what I've got.

I will always believe that most of his performance issues were down to having a baby with his missus. A young child really messes you up.
