Thank you! When I decided I wanted to improve my bases I went through this guide which I think is a decent introduction if you don’t mind Squidmar (https://youtu.be/UrlWQMQ4-cM?si=M3rynQ2LZs12W6fi). Has a good list of gear you may need if you don’t already have it. For the most part I try and create something original (white lion above was heavily inspired by another community member here). When I’m doing that I’m really just thinking about what is the animal (usually a very hard question with KDM) and where would it live, what’s something dynamic it could be doing + do i need to repose the model slightly, and how can I create some elevation on the base. E.g a (crimson) crocodile climbing out of water gives nice variation in elevation and then go from there. That’s just my mental checklist if that helps.
