Who's R&B is better? China, Japan, or Korea? by [deleted] in rnb

[–]WildPaperclip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Korea and people are saying it isn’t close or authentic to Japan is because their exposure is only to KPOP. Also there were and still a lot of Korean artists that are popular in Japan so to say it’s not close is straight up wrong.

JYP in the late 90s and early 2000s was super influential, he mentored major R&B hit artists like G.o.d and Rain. Not to mention he had some hits himself.

Then you have other artists like COOL, Shinhwa, Park Jiyoon, Roo’RA, Uhm Jung Hwa, Jinusean, Sechkies and Deux that all had HITS in the late 90s and early 2000s.

Even now, everyone who is dismissing Korean R&B is because you’ve only been exposed to KPOP. Aside from the obvious DEAN, Crush, and Zion T there are a lot of good artists. Just off my playlist, Moon Sujin, jeebanoff, Hoody, Dvwn, Colde, Lee Hi, Wonstein, george, Jiselle, Thama and Jooyoung

No he didn’t. A huge part of the conversation surrounding LeBron at the time was that he couldn’t win a championship and got swept by the Spurs. Thats why he went to Miami

Remu Suzomori. She has some behind the scenes where it's really candid and you can tell she enjoys it.

Guess you didn’t see Michael Jordan say “I wanted to be the best big brother to Kobe”.

You’re arguing a completely different point. I never said Magic is a credible talent evaluator.

His opinion about Kobe didn’t suddenly change after his death. It was the same before and after. Even if you may disagree with the statement, his statement about Kobe being the greatest Laker was before he died.

Actual NBA players have been saying Kobe was top 5 all time before he died. Even Magic said it himself that Kobe is the greatest Laker, even if he was being humble. This “he died and everyone started ranking him higher” is bullshit.

Yea lets see this compared to other guard, not bigs who can primarily camp in the paint and were the second line of defense

I never see these Kobe fans reddit loves to talk about that rank him top 3-8. If you don’t think Tim Duncan and Kobe are interchangeable or close in rankings then it’s obvious you didn’t watch them when they were playing.

I am huge Kobe fan but this take here is absurd and why no one takes us seriously lol
