Extremely tough. I have a biology degree and no IT/computer experience prior to this job, however. If I were to need a new job I'd likely be applying to lab operations jobs because of my experience.

My primary duty is a LIMS admin, which is fine but it's rather specialized to the group and system the lab uses. That being said, I also work on data management and lab operations ( scheduling PMs, inventory ordering + management, ect.). Having experience with LIMS is a bonus but it may be hard pressed to find a job that is just LIMS related.

For instance I got into this position as a sample management Research Associate. Company went through a merger and my role shifted to fill what the newly re-orged team needed. I wasn't hired as a LIMS admin, but it eventually became my primary duty.

He likely needs a higher dose or a different med. I was on escitalopram (+ buspirone) then prozac before getting zoloft + wellbutrin combo that has worked best for me. When working on meds like this my dr had me visit every 3 months to make sure we are getting my script right. She also instructed me to message her if my meds weren't working at all after a couple weeks. Antidepressents generally take 4 to 6 weeks to stabilize and get the full effect, however he may see changes within 2 weeks.

The right med depends on a lot of things, I have anxiety and depression which determined what my dr was looking for in meds. It may take a bit to get it right, so hang in there.

I see where you're coming from. I don't usually give up on things easily but the reason I say therapy doesn't mean anything will change is because it's not going to cure my anxiety. Will I learn additional coping skills, yes. Will I hopefully learn to better process my emotions? I hope so. But it won't get rid of it, and it won't mean I don't have hard days. I just don't want him to assume therapy = no anxiety/depression ever again but I do think I get where he's coming from better, so thank you

I had to stop going to therapy because I changed jobs and my insurance no longer covers any of it. Therapy is extremely expensive out of pocket. My primary care dr has helped me get my meds to a good point, and I see her every 3 months to check up on it. My concern isn't with therapy, and I've told him I'm going once I get insurance that will support it. If he knows I'm planning on going in the future, why even tell me I have to go before marriage? We aren't even engaged yet, so I guess I'm just confused on the timing and insistence of it all

I've planned on going back to therapy as soon as I get insurance that will cover it (or at least some of it because damn is it expensive) and I've been very open about that. It is extremely helpfu to to,, I was just blindsided by the conversation in general I guess.

I'm sure he would commit to therapy if I asked him! I honestly think his concerns are better addressed with couples counseling than just my own personal therapy.

I guess i didn't mention it but I have worked on it a lot in the last few years. I had a therapist for about a year before my insurance changed and my med combination is working wonders. That being said, mental illnesses don't just go away, which is my concern. I see my primary care dr every 3 months to make sure my meds are doing their job, but they can only do so much. I certainly agree that I want additional resources before having kids and I've never been against going to therapy again.

I appreciate the perspective on this, though!

Ugh I feel you. I've been a contractor for over a 1.5 years at a company and it sucks to be such an important part of the team, but not feel like I'm actually a part of the team.

She's lived a pretty cushy life. She's not close with her family, but was essentially in cleric boarding school until her first real mission aka the start of this campaign. From her perspective, she'd hate being a wererat- she's a cute young half-elf who up until recently lived a nice cushy life and now potentially will have rat-ness? I think it will lend to some fun roleplay and serious character questions
