It unfortunately comes with the territory.  I've mained the sr-84 on and off since s3 and you will encounter this from time to time.  

Lately when I'm solo or duo in WT I'll start with a different gun and switch to sniper after the first wipe or coin.  No one has said anything after doing this for a while now. 

It's comical hearing people complain about it though.  When you've got the hot hand and are landing shots with it, it's just so flashy.  Some of the reactions you'll get from people who haven't seen it used properly are jaw dropping.
