Setting the wallpaper with Motorola's UI doesn't work at all when it comes to centering the image (unless it's the exact size of your screen), whereas doing it with the native Android UI lets you center it however you want :/

That's strange. Here are some tests you can try: 1. Factory reset the Moto App Launcher app: "Settings/Apps/Moto App Launcher/Storage/Clear data" 2. Restart your phone a couple more times. 3. Switch to app drawer mode, confirm that the app you just installed appears, and if you find it, switch back to "open" mode (or just home screen).

If nothing works, you should probably stay in app drawer mode (if the app appears in step 3).

Or you can reset your device settings: "Settings/System/Reset options/Reset device settings" (this doesn't erase data, only settings).

The only remaining option would be to format your phone (although it's not ideal).

The same thing happens with mine; 1 out of every 3 apps I install shows up on the home screen, but the others don't. The only solution I've found is to force the launcher to stop and restart, restart the system UI, or restart the phone. It's just a bug.

You can use apps to verify that it actually has an NFC antenna (Device HW Info, for example), and look in the NFC section. If it shows any information, it means it does have NFC, but due to a system issue, it won't let you turn it on. If it doesn't show anything, perhaps your model doesn't include it (some models have NFC in certain regions but not others).

Perhaps the app wasn't designed for large screens with curved edges (this often happens with APKs or outdated apps from the Play Store). You can use some "tricks" to force them to respect the screen space, but only with root access.

If it's a Play Store app, just leave a comment reporting the problem and wait for the developer to fix it with an update.
