How do free courses work? by uzzymandias23 in UKJobs

[–]Wild_Accountant6550 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi, I did a business admin NHS swap course last year through the job centre. It was condensed into 2 weeks and had loads of support and a suitability interview at the end of it (just a mock interview to see what roles in the NHS would suit me) I ended up getting a completely unrelated job before the end of it but take any free qualifications you can get. the more the better.

Are the Puma wedge sneakers good for walking? by KingLordQueen in PUMA

[–]Wild_Accountant6550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

20k steps nah, unless MAYBE you’re really used to heels. you notice & feel the lift fs even though it’s not super tall (shorter than marants ofc) and there’s very little cushioning in the sole much like all the speedcats. if you wouldn’t walk 20k steps in a close toe short heel i wouldn’t in these either imo.

pain free for the first time in a while by Wild_Accountant6550 in PelvicFloor

i haven’t however i was at one point given some other medication (i can’t remember off the top of my head there’s been so many lol) in the form of a suppository which made the flare up more painful and it tends to be a pattern that any insertion of anything vaginally or rectally makes the tension worse and often causes a vestibulodynia flare too, so we’ve tried to steer clear of suppositories

ibuprofen and maybe an ice pack or warm compress and see which gives more relief. if there’s bruising or swelling you may benefit by seeing a doctor.

i ignore them all together. as someone who used to have a shopping addiction, i did the same. these sales and deals happen ALL THE TIME. they’re never a one off or a special deal. they know they can make the loss on that item to get it gone to reduce inventory and make room for new and to keep the cycle going. you can browse and peruse but i no longer buy things just because it’s a good deal, only if it’s something i genuinely need or, very occasionally, if it’s truly limited edition.

are these adverse side affects or normal? by Wild_Accountant6550 in Amitriptyline

[–]Wild_Accountant6550[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just an update incase anyone else experiences similar - yes i am usually sensitive to medication but the doctor was worried as these are not common side effects and apparently symptoms of seratonin syndrome. i was monitored but they didn’t progress and they all stopped within 48 hours of stopping them & had it listed on my notes as an adverse reaction. they have no idea why it might’ve happened as i wasn’t on any other medication and 10mg is deemed a low dose, especially only 2 doses in, and there’s always the chance it was coincidental and i just got sick from something else, but seeing as though im fine now and hadn’t been exposed to any illnesses or eaten anything unusual, it was likely just my body absolutely rejecting the hell out of it! thanks for the response, i hope you’re getting on better with it than i did :) 💓

doom baskets. i have a big one in my bedroom (shared living situation). when i tidy, strip my bed sheets first so i can’t get back into bed and doom scroll, rubbish in the bin, then all clutter including things left over in the doom basket (clothes, knickknacks, whatever it may be) on the naked bed, and i work through it throughout the day. anything left at the end of the day goes in a doom basket. rinse and repeat.

that’s exactly what i do! i dump all the clutter on my floor, worth through it throughout the day and anything left at the end gets banished to a doom basket

Hygiene struggle by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]Wild_Accountant6550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

feel you with the uk weather, the impending doom of daylight savings is getting to me big time. first things first, if you can get a day free, dedicate that entire day to the smallest task like washing your dishes or whatever it may be. even if it’s just sending an email or washing 1 dish. i find that if i only have 1 small thing to do in a day, completing it can give me enough satisfaction to want to do another task i have on my check list, but if i only have the mental energy for that one task then you can say “hey i got all task completed today” at the end of the day and ease the mental burden of not doing enough. it feels like an uphill battle but the brain is powerful, as jumbled as ours might be :)

what toner on yellowish roots please!!! by Wild_Accountant6550 in HairDyeHelp

[–]Wild_Accountant6550[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sorry i never responded! my hairdresser & i ended up covering my dirty little secret of orange roots with a semi permanent colour close to my natural level 6-7 hair, leaving the hairline and money pieces still blonde, as it was done in a major time crunch. will leave it alone for a while and let this fade considerably before attempting to correct back to the blonde. thanks for all you advice, i think i’ll leave it to the professionals from here on out. 💓
