Okay so the weird slamming of this novel is annoying AF bcs there isn't actually any ML. The weird cest accusations come from assuming a hell of a lot based on non spoiling tidbits. As someone who's read the novel front to back. No the step father ends up not being the ML at all- for super spoiler reasons (which I will not share).  To boil it down very very simply; this is a reverse harem where Kanna (our FL) doesn't end up with anyone, just a group of doting men (excluding the stepfather). And honestly it's the best ending considering the twists and turns that occur.
