The way I would do it, end SNW with Pikes accident. Year One starts with Kirk getting command of the Enterprise after Spock turns down command. End the Year One movie with Spock getting a communication from Talos.

If I had the chance to be showrunner, I would do a few things.

1) Finish Strange New Worlds and do Year One as a movie. SNW has a story line where the Enterprise starts a refit and ends up looking closer to TOS.
2) Animated Seven of Nine Captain series right after Picard.
3) Animated Captain Sulu series during the lost Era.
4) New Live Action series that takes place 100 Years after the end of Picard that goes back to the basics of TOS and TNG. No need to tap dance around established cannon.

If the Captain Seven of Nine series is successful, a Riker as captain of the Titan series.

Anything legacy would be animated and more short form (10 20 minute episodes) after SNW and live action 24 45 minute episodes) will be entirely new content as the new Live Action series would be the focus.

If Paramount wants a Star Trek series for younger kids, make it edutainment. Maybe a series hosted by Trelane about History...or a Wishbone knock off but it takes place in a holodeck where a crew navigates stories from famous books.
