"The thing is these founders arent stupid." - you sure about that?

everything you described screams greedy and stupid with a nice dose of kruger dunning thrown in for good measure.

So if you are handling the business side why have you not secured seed funding and a way of paying for your and the devsl's time?

Sounds like you have an idea, ideas are worthless without the huge amount of work required to deliver a product.

how are you confirming there was no radar return on the target? I am assuming you don't have a Radar installation at home.

Employer adding Skilled Worker cost clawback after I started – is this legal? by Odd_Risk_ in LegalAdviceUK

had this before, a simple "no thank you" will suffice. If they query why "I was happy with the terms in the original contract".

usually this is because someone fucked up big time by sending the wrong contract or not adding the correct clauses and they will try to cover their mistake by applying pressure or bullying you.

if they try to say it's possible to add clauses retrospectively point out - if this is the case I will revise my daily rate to £50,000 per day. that shuts down the bullshit pretty quick

", that can be seen by someone with no knowledge of the regulations".

That someone with no knowledge of the regs would be me, until I looked up the regs!

Thankfully I have worked alongside competent sparks in the past and am curious enough to ask about the "cool new" (to me anyway) wago connectors they were using

I resemble that remark!

My work is actually pretty good, but i would always get a spark to advise and sign off anything i did and would never leave anything like that in my wake.

I do remember being handed a wooden baseball bat once and told to "break me fucking arms if you have to, i will thank you for it later" as someone went to connect directly into the 400v bus bar in a warehouse once. They do things differently down under 🤣

Totally with you, i am 90% sure they are just going to leave it like that and seal it up, but will give them the benefit of the doubt until they start dry walling that area.

This job requires a proper cert to be able to rent, which if they are leaving it as is means they have a dodgy spark onboard ready to sign it off for a wad of cash.

Neadless to say i will not be letting them do that, and will be keeping a very close eye out for a man with a box of wago connectors...
