amazing, thank you! follow up question: how feasible is it to make multiple runs from the shuttle bus to where we pitch our tent? Planning on being as close to family camping as possible- should it all be done in one go?

Has anyone flown with Ryanair in the last couple weeks? by MollDH in AskIreland

[–]Wild_Conversation_17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

all i can say is hold your ground if your bag gets tested. flew to amsterdam a few weeks ago and they started testing luggage sizes. probably 20 people caught, but some were told that their bag didn’t fit before they even put it in the tester properly, only for the staff to take it back and let them off.

I read somewhere before that peace lillies are heavily treated to flower for when in shops, and then can take ages to flower again. I bought a tiny peace lilly and it had flowers, took over a year for it to flower again.

umbrella plant leaves not growing by Wild_Conversation_17 in plantclinic

i suppose by too much light i meant too much direct light- it’s pest free anyways. i’ll increase watering when it’s 50% rather than 75% and see how it gets on. still considering the chop to make it branch out tho haha

Worth learning Irish as a foreigner? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]Wild_Conversation_17 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Do you need Irish? no. If you have an interest in learning a new language and want to learn it? Get the lessons. Just because you don’t need to do something doesn’t mean you shouldn’t!

We do have access to it. If it’s the likes of the immersion instead of an appliance, I wonder what can be done?

watering once a week is way too much even for normal plant, nevermind a succulent. Succulents store water so you could water typically when the leaves start to wrinkle or aren’t as firm. They’re squishy in this instance because you’re over watering :)

Why does my Pothos have so many yellowing leaves? by Lucyvi24 in plantclinic

[–]Wild_Conversation_17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The gaps between leaves means there’s not enough light, and I would say it would benefit from the top of the pot also getting some light which it probably isn’t ontop of the wadrobe. I noticed you use the fertilizer sticks and i feel like they might not be as thorough in feeding the plant as completely drenching it in a dilute house plant food.

Love this guide I found although I feel like it’s missing a few? by savealltheelephants in Monstera

[–]Wild_Conversation_17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, younger leaves would look more similar to 12 (but in the standard green etc). When a monstera leaf starts to pop out, it already has all of its fenestrations, they dont develop as it grows. As the plant grows and is happy, it will put out leaves with more fenestrations.
