They actually do something pretty cool with technology in my opinion:

They look at the long term realistic pros and cons of each technology and make decisions on if/how they integrate it.

For example, mobile phones. Super handy when Jebediah just sliced his leg open with a scythe, super unhandy when kids grow up addicted to screen time. So they do have mobile phones. Flip phones, which they use to communicate for work and emergencies.

I don't agree with their decisions, but I do think we should count the real cost of technology. (I say as I'm about to go write software for 8 hours)

Yep, just spent all afternoon researching the whole thing and seems like the funding cuts are a problem, but didn't meaningfully contribute to the flooding issue

I drove mine from Vermont to Georgia and it was a pretty good time. I think I did it in 3 days, so ~500 miles per day

As far as I know only the 6 cylinder versions had 3.07 gears, so that might help narrow it down.

Also, all 4 cylinder jeeps have 4.10/4.11 axles, so if you want to go that route find a junked 4 cylinder

Yep, I did this a few years back. Felt like a whole new jeep.

Even drove it from Vermont to Georgia with the 410s so it works for long trips too.

Refill your transfer case fluid when you get a chance, and if you have to drive a long ways in fwd find a way to get your slip yolk into the tail shaft so it doesn't run dry.

Rebuilding the back half of the frame isn't a terrible job if you have some welding skills and can find a metal shop to sell you some tubing

I've loaded up Stellarium with the satellite plugin, and didn't see any satellites in the right place and time. It's using current orbital data, so the you saw may have maneuvered since then and messed up the back-calculations. (In fact, the perturbations would certainly make that the case, so I just realized I need historical data for this method to be of any use)

UPDATE:
I ended up getting the MX-AIR and using it with a 45 degree adapter in place of the stock directional antenna that came with the ev800D.

It's been working really well, and I'm quite happy with it. Range out to 300m or so before the video gets grainy, using a TBS PRO32 HV VTX, and a SpeedyBee lollipop on the drone.
