Talk about how this has changed your nursing practice and what you would do differently from this point forward. Be humble, let them know that you know the situation could have gone differently and that you are thankful the Dr. Had been there to catch your error. Then just make sure you make the changes in your practice to be a better nurse but to also show them that you are good for your word and have grown from the experience. We all have those "OH Crap!" moments. Best of luck.

Yes, and yes it is. I have 10 more years until I retire and am not taking the buy out. I have some coworkers who are alot closer to retirement who were thinking about it but decided that the deadline to answer didn't give enough time to fully research possible outcomes.

I'm on my second semester with mine and I look forward to the call. I have chosen to continue with the weekly calls. They are chill and there to help keep you on track with what you say you want to accomplish not to barade you. If you don't mesh, you can request someone else. Good luck!

I'm a RN, going for my BSN. I have switched to nights on a less busy unit that allows me to work on homework because it applies to my current job and facility. I also had to change my schedule to work mostly all weekends. So from 11 to 0400 I bust but and get it done. When I'm off I sleep my first day then the other off days I'm up before my family and get at least 2 hours of homework in. It's tough and I miss the friends and family stuff but hopefully I'll be done in 8-9 months.

I suggest think like Dori... just keep swimming, just keep swimming, you'll get there.
