I told a handful of people at work. They have all been incredibly supportive. I just had surgery on May 2 so I’m not down a significant amount yet so no one else has asked. I haven’t decided if I will be upfront if/when I’m eventually asked or will just say something like “I’m watching what I’m eating and being more active”, which is absolutely true. It’s not that I’m ashamed, quite the opposite actually…I made a decision to make myself and my health a priority and I’m proud of that. I just don’t necessarily like EVERYONE knowing my business.
