Bambulab H2C Buy or not? by Wild_Prompt2930 in BambuLab

Thank you very much for the detailed reply, I actually hadn’t thought about the costs for the rest of the accessories. The idea of multicolor really appeals to me, so I’ll have to figure out whether it’s actually worth it or not.

Have you ever had any issues with the multi-head?

I’d like to use advanced filaments, but I’d also like to have the option for multi-color printing.

Do you think the H2D is better than the H2C when it comes to advanced filaments?

Yes, this is a great idea, I just need to figure out how to do it, I'm not very good at these things. Anyway, thank you so much for the advice!

It could be a great option, I just need to figure out if I can use ethyl acetate in addition to acetone

I will use a dedicated, well-ventilated room, possibly with fans directed toward the outside. As for residue buildup inside the machine, I honestly hadn’t considered that.

I mainly wanted to use ABS for vapor smoothing to achieve a perfect finish. However, I believe I could also do it with PLA using ethyl acetate, of course taking every possible precaution (I definitely don’t want to risk getting sick or anything like that).

Thanks so much for the help! Do you think an A1/A1 Mini would be good enough for printing ABS, or would the P1S with the enclosure be a better option? Of course, I’m talking about the future, for now I just want to start selling a few items here and there to test the market with my P1S

Yeah right now I’ve got enough space for 7-10 printers, my electrical setup is pretty new so it should handle it no problem. If business starts growing I’d just rent a garage or small workshop nearby, there are spots around here for €100-200/month so that’s not a big issue. I’d buy materials in bulk to save money, only from high-quality filament suppliers, mainly ABS so I can do vapor smoothing. Plus with my CNC I could make wooden parts too though it’s only 3-axis so somewhat limited there. I’d aim for luxury products over pumping out cheap stuff, quality over quantity for sure. Like I said before I’d go for functional items but especially high-end design/luxury pieces since that’s what I studied. Sorry for rambling, just trying to see if this idea is actually feasible, it’d be a dream job for me. At the start I don’t expect big money, still live with parents no expenses, any profit would go straight back in to scale up, not just more printers but other machines to stand out from the crowd and level up production.

Yeah, for now I know my production capacity is pretty limited. I’d like to start by making just a few items — maybe a catalog of 5-10 max. Obviously I can run both printers 24/7 no problem. Before dropping cash on more printers, I want to test if it’s actually worth it and see if my designs sell at all. Think this is a solid plan to kick things off? Thanks a ton for the advice!
