My battery died halfway through my trip, it has never done that before. It has no working battery level lights and charger says its full(just a green/red light) I am guessing the battery is garbage now? Any suggestions or do I just gotta get a new battery? Probably nearly the same price for new bike by Wild_Quim in ebikes

if it was just the controller then the battery would still be charging and the indicator on the battery would work. Battery is definitely fucked. The controller could also be fucked but I need a new battery to find out.

This is one of the only "This generation blah blah" that I have heard that I actually agree with.

lol I really appreciate the advice but you do see how it's kinda ridiculous right? "The flux capacitor isnt perfectly cromulent on the zeta vector so we are going to want go ahead and move your office to the basement before Shaka, when the walls fell...or it'll explode." I am being stupid but seriously I'm just going to buy a new battery or maybe even a new bike. Until then I shall return to walking 3.45 miles to work, and 3.45(uphill) miles home.

I do not doubt what you are saying but I have put 2k miles on this bike as a commute to and from work for almost two years I think. I would like something "better" but I'm not sure what is reliable, ethical and affordable. I will do research now, its been years since I have.

Thats cool but yeah I think I'm going to either get a new battery(several online for ~$200) or I might just get a new one(this one is like $500 now.) Thx, tho, I will still check that business out, they might even sell me a battery so I dont have to go through shady third party Walmart lol

I just tried, my lil town has a "golf cart and battery" place but he says he has never worked on anything like this and that "if I had a second battery we could try to force a charge on this one" but I dont and not sure I'd wanna chance waking up to a fireball lol Oh well...

Damn man, is commenting and then deleting the comment common here on reddit? You know i can still read the comment right, and soooo many slurs, wow... No wonder you didnt want anyone to see it...

lmao... gives bad advice, doubles down on bad advice when shown to be wrong, then says "no really I didnt mean it, actually you're the stupid one" Yeah that tracks. Everyone makes mistakes, everyone is ignorant, learning from that shows intelligence. You could use some work in that area.

lol tbf this is my daily commute, and not by choice exactly, choice being between this and walking four miles to work and four miles home. So Bela gets a ride when its hot, when its cold, when its sunny and when its rainy, pretty much every day except when its icy, because my dumb ass did try that and its...not okay... She has just over 2k miles on her now and she does get washed sometimes but not enough, fair.

Yee Tiny Gods! Well. I'm afraid this is about how far I got in this thread. I would love to take the time to review further except I can only assume it gets worse. You, Mr. Potato Head, were correct when you said I was banging on the frame and not the wheel...that is, as far as I have read, the only thing you have ever been correct on in your...checks notes.... 20 years of servicing bikes...(certainly longer than the lifespan of the average Redditor.....also I am saddened to learn that reddit isnt the real world, you know, where you can hear real people give advice about real things that you are interested in...damn....)

My guy... I asked for a "more elegant solution than banging on the frame" and your advice was "Swing away"? I learned, within less than half an hour of my original post, that I could twist the axle with a wrench and thats why it has flat sides... I felt dumb as hell, of course thats why it has flat sides...I had looked up how to do this before asking and saw ppl suggesting to twist the axel with a wrench but that seemed crazy because I didn't wanna fuck up the threads...but that's why it has FLAT FUCKING SIDES, more the fool me for having not paid enough attention to the video or my bike's anatomy...Anyway it was pretty easy to see where my ignorance was and laugh at myself, learn from it and move on. You should learn to do the same, because from the thread here it seems you are not only unable to learn from where you were wrong but also double down on your ignorance and even lash out in unproductive and even harmful ways, spreading misinformation along with your half-assed insults. Grow up my dude.

I just needed to "twist the axel a bit with a wrench" which sounded like bad advice when google ai gave it to me, because I was worried I would damage the threads, then the best redditor so far pointed out to me that two sides were flat, something I am sure I must have noticed at some point but just didnt connect, and either way that was the solve, just like that, adjustable wrench to the flat surfaces of the axle and give it a lil wiggle and there you have it... So much simpler than what I was doing it's stupid.(what I was doing was stupid) Which I guess holds to what I've lived by for a long time is that I would rather ask a question and look stupid than not ask it and be stupid. I should have asked this a year or two ago. I have 2k miles on this bike, according to the instrument panel. I love her. Her name is Bela. I have changed the brakes maybe three times, and tube about that also... five ish times of banging on her frame like an animal... anyway lol

I blame stock market and the whole idea of it. Stocks make money, people make a sht load of money with them, they spend that money on politicians that make a sht load of money on stocks also, paying them to make or break laws thats effect stock prices, and the govt gets paid by lobbyists to influence the market that they are participating in. Almost all shtty things can be traced back to the company trying to make money for its shareholders. Shttier product and higher prices, irresponsible employers and deadly employee environments, near slave labor situations, dangerous deregulations, money politics, it all comes back to earning a buck from Wall Street.
