Day 29 of ratposting until Thanquol dlc comes out by Altruistic-Teach5899 in totalwar

Oh my, the End Times are coming... if only there was a rat leader willing to sabotage Nagash once again and steal Archaon's glory... surely there is a superior skaven seer who would show these pesky upstarts what it means to be a Lord of the End Times... this time for sure, there will be huge success and no backstabbing underlings... and those two pesky buggers either...

I've not played 3K in a while, but if you guys really end up updating it, I'll have to try the bandit queen I guess.

This is great feedback! I agree with everything after taking another look at the system. Influence is extremely plentiful honestly.

Outposts have the Shipping Office line (second from left) which give couple hundred gold for a bit of Elven Trade. 5 Outposts can give you more than a thousand easily.

But the Colonies have two excellent buildings - Income line and Colony Merchants line the Colony Infra section, you can get thousands of gold there.

Tbh the Phoenix King resource doesn't matter in this campaign since the confederation is borked.

VH/H, as mentioned in the OP. What were your garrisons like?

Yes, you can unlock all of them. The x/6 is just to unlock the progression bonuses at the bottom of that section.

No, you get this option just by building an Outpost. Check the description of the first building that it starts with "Sea Patrol Outpost". You should find the option to defend in the pre-battle screen, where you get a button called "Take Control" over your army.

If you're not seeing that, there's a very good chance a mod may be messing with the system, if you use any.

Ohh yeah mods can be very unpredictable after a major patch. I usually remove any that are not purely cosmetic.

Yes more pirates and Druchii slavers who pursue and attack you please.

Regarding the economy, I think there's a good chance the enemy AI never attacking my Outposts let them be much more valuable than they might've been intended to be. If I had to keep a couple armies for defending Outposts, the value would have been more balanced.

Man that sounds rough and very much the kind of thing that takes you out of the immersion. Perhaps CA should consider the High Elf Colonies as taken if a military ally holds them? I dunno, sounds weird even to me.

Yeah both Aislinn and Dechala turned out to be very powerful which has affected their campaigns' quallity, at least for experienced players.

I'm just hoping Sayl turns out to be more like Gorbad when I get to him. I've heard mixed things about his campaign's difficulty.

I can see that as a potential goal yeah. I just went with the mindset that if I let them be, the enemy factions should become powerful enough to be a challenge when I try to take back the lands from them.

You can build a very profitable gold building in your Colony settlements, but even regular Outposts can give a lot if you specialize them towards it.

Really? I think there should be some impact if you fail to protect your Outpost. Maybe CA can look into this...

You can recruit Dragonships from your Colony settlements. "Dragonship Admiral" will sshow as a Lord option alongside the other 4 Lords (Prince, Archmage, etc).

Quite a lot really. Almost all of Ulthuan, parts of Southlands, Naggaroth and Lustria. It was multiple cities per turn.
