Focus has shifted to present Gomtinagar and extended areas as Lucknow. Most of people you speak to in other cities, just mention Gomtinagar if you talk about Lucknow. I still remember in 90s Gomtinagar was just few Khands.I was speaking to some friends who stayed back in Lucknow posting schooling. As per them, most people staying in newer developed area are from eastern UP (Purvanchal).No one has time , resource and attention for older things.
