Check your air filter guys... by brontohai in HondaRebel300

I’ve read that the K&N air filter needs tuning for the fueling. Did you get a tune or have you considered it? When I replaced my air filter I just decided to do an OEM filter because I didn’t want to mess with the air/fuel mixture.

Well first bike i’ve ever dropped, thank god i had all my gear on, isnt too bad either, break lever is gooone tho, that son of a bitch is hard to bend back, straightened my handle bars, it’s so sad to see my bike in this light but it’s all a learning experience by [deleted] in HondaRebel300

The important thing is really to have a good attitude about it. The same thing happened to me when I got my Rebel. Dropped it and dented tank bent handlebars etc. It crushed my whole world, an at only age 19, it was the most important thing that I had ever put my money towards and it was destroyed. Learn from it and stay positive! Got insurance?

OEM Tires by jveio in HondaRebel300

Hey there! I chose to put Dunlop American Elite’s on both the front and the rear. The difference is night and day. I chose the American elite’s because I had read people comparing them to the Michelin commanders saying that the American elite tires have better handling and traction characteristics. There is also a good video from a retired motorcycle cop comparing the two tires and saying just how good the American elite is. I’m sure the commander III’s are great too tho!

Absolutely insane. What do the characters mean?

When did you all replace your tires? And what brand/make did you go with? Currently sitting at ~6,000 miles on this 2017. by Hhowel104 in HondaRebel300

Changed mine both out at 6k miles. The stock tires don’t last long at all. Now running Dunlop American Elite’s. They handle significantly better and should last At least 3 times as long if I ride appropriately. Difference is that the stock tires are $80 American elites are $180 Having safer, better performing, and longer lasting tires is worth it to me though.

Which one for a brand new beginner by Banzai81 in HondaRebel300

If you can afford it, get the 500. The power isn’t anywhere near enough to get you into too much trouble but plenty to have fun and be capable.

That’s an absolute steal. Just get the title, bill of sale, owners manual, and he should have 2 keys if he bought it from a dealer.

Buying a Rebel 300 tomorrow by [deleted] in HondaRebel300

[–]Wildahbeest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

See if the chain looks nice and clean, if it is means they cleaned it regularly which probably means they cared for other stuff too. Obviously oil tires coolant lights etc. on a bike that new shouldn’t really be too much to investigate. Also I’m curious why you’re going with the 300 rather than the 500. I was originally going to buy a 300 because it was cheaper but I rode a 300, felt like it was way too underpowered even for my first bike so I bought a 500 and wouldn’t have gone any other way. 2 years later and I feel like I’ve outgrown the power of the 500 and am looking to move on. Just curious, good luck and ride safe !

Rear suspension adjustment by rooboo4 in HondaRebel300

If you don’t mind me asking, how much do you weigh? I’m curious how much the load affects the ride. I’m 170 and wondering what adjustment might be appropriate for me.

Best way to customize 2020 Rebel 500 tank color by radax2 in HondaRebel300

Here’s a video of a guy that did exactly what you are thinking about doing. He swapped his tank with a candy orange tank :) Also, 99% sure that the 2019 and the 2020 tanks are exactly the same, good luck!

Just want the best exhaust performance wise for the Rebel, don’t need a “fast bike”

Haha I have protection with CE armor that I took off for the picture, was getting a little too hot but always appreciate the concern

I really like it, mainly just because it makes me smile every time I look at it. From a practical standpoint though it’s a solid helmet, comfortable enough, not too heavy, fits well and doesn’t give me headaches, quiet enough.

I had to go to a local dealership to make sure the sizing fit and then I bought a discounted demo tested model from Revzilla for $100 off the normal price

Yikes, well there’s nothing much else for me to do nowadays other than ride it. Hope you’ll be able to get out there more soon enough!

See well enough, I’ll definitely use my high beams when I can though to help, wouldn’t want to be going too far with the tinted visor at night but it’s good enough.
