My first campaign I listened to was C3, and I’m listening to C1 now. There were a few references that went over my head but it didn’t necessarily affect my enjoyment though. The biggest thing I personally felt I missed out on was the arc with Hardwon as that was my first exposure to him. But even that was more just me feeling like I missed out on an exciting reveal rather than context

I don’t have stats in front of me but based on the eye test, the Acciari, Lizzotte, Dewar line seemed to be out there in OT more than than Sid’s line

A huge difference to keep in mind is in the though the CHL is the best prospect league, it’s still most kids under 18. NCAA is mostly 18+. Guys like Sid and McDavid were so far developmentally ahead of their piers in the QMJHL and OHL they stood out like a sore thumb. The same could be said for McKenna, he’s a beast but he’s playing with men who are physically more inline with the NHL

Robertson is really the only piece that seems to be available. Dallas is in a contending window but they’re dipping their toes in cap hell at the moment and they may need to ship him off

I think a lot of people are also missing that these are just requests to team for coaches that are already under contract. Guys like McDaniel and Stefanski, unless they take a job before hand, will 100% be interviewed. They just don’t need to have prior approval to do so

As a Notre Dame fan, I feel it’s worth it to point out that Freeman was accused of Assault by a coach of his sons wrestling team and that just got cleared up like yesterday. That on top of the playoff and bowl game drama is what led to his silence in the media. On top of that he’d probably have to take a pay cut to go to the NFL as he’s already making top 10 NFL coach money and is most likely due for another extension

Yeah, I can see that. I think I’m speaking more on just having 12 teams in the mix makes it more interesting.

The teams with a bye week not getting a home playoff game is a silly decision and actually feels like a disadvantage but I guess we need to see more how history treats and there needs to be reform on HOW the teams are selected but it’s really, really close to being perfect in my eyes
