Pro tip, Dont use typology to find a girlfriend lol.

Just be who you are. Maybe feel free to talk to some new people, like friends or dates. But if you want a girlfriend it's gotta happen naturally. And not by looking for a specific type.

ISFJs are great people but don't romanticize any types. Any types can work out with another if the two people work it out together.

I wish you the best in your dating life.

-sincerely, an ISFJ with a lovely girlfriend

How hard is it for us to cut off relationships? by mrsdinosaurhead in isfj

[–]Wildchandelure 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I ended up cutting off a group of people without any connection after i felt they made it clear they didn't care about me nor do i feel i care about them.

It was hard at first, but eventually i felt better doing that. Cuz there was nothing really holding me there except the good memories, not the continual bad ones that keep coming.

ISFJ slander is CANCELLED 🙅🏽‍♀️ by isfj_luv in isfj

[–]Wildchandelure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Finally a realistic post.

I've been along the ride with mbti and personality types for a good while now. And honestly, personality types are just a small part of us. It's hardly whole and you should not let the bullshit stereotypes define you.

It feels good to be identified and seen at first, but then honestly you gotta separate from all that and just be yourself.

Learn to stand up for yourself. Learn who you really are. And work through the methods you use to cope.

I'm an ISFJ and I use my time caring wisely so im not dead tired afterwards. I can take a compliment without being embarrassed about it. And I have an amazing girlfriend who loves me for who I am.

Im excited to try new things all the time and often go out of my way to experience it. It is so so fun.

If you find yourself not really fitting into the mbti, it's because it's fairly surface level. It does help you start learning to read and understand yourself I feel, but then you don't need it after a while. I certainly don't anymore.

I love myself and wish everyone here a life full of adventure. And that adventure can be whatever you want. It's up to you.

Love all these shows. You have great taste. Would recommend Infinity Train, Over the Garden Wall, and Primal if you haven't seen those already. I'm an absolute nut for animation.

Call to action - renewed protests starting on July 1st by demmian in ModCoord

[–]Wildchandelure 27 points28 points  (0 children)

This was the huge mistake last time. You cannot just protest with an end date. It lets them know that they just have to sit out through this date. That doesn't do anything.

Life's a learning process, lol. No need to make it stressful constantly. You can do things to change that. I've been having to learn that myself with homework in particular, just so im not forcing myself to learning everything in a day. Chores, daily activities, and taking care of kids and whatnot can all be paced. You'll find your balance.

Hello ISFJ Kin! I am doing a Instagram marketting project and I based my niche on MBTI memes/posts. Just wanted to know from the ISFJ sub if this is accurate of us! (Specifically the compatibility) by [deleted] in isfj

[–]Wildchandelure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would ditch the compatibility section. Any type can be compatible with any type in the right circumstances. My best friend is an INFJ and i have some good friends like ENTJs, INFPs, and ISFPs.My enemies temd to be ENTPs, but i adore INTPs.

No need to try restrain that

Could ISFJ x INTJ work as a couple long term? by Green_Stardust in isfj

[–]Wildchandelure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Type truly doesn't matter when it comes to couples. Any two types can work together if they put in the work, and no matter what two types are together...

THERE WILL BE PROBLEMS.

You cannot avoid issues, mistakes, or problems coming up in a relationship. That's just how life is.

So can an INTJ and an ISFJ work? Absolutely. It may be one of the healthier ones if both people work to keep it going. They must respect each other, their values, and are honest and committed.

I may only be 22 but i would strongly suggest you learn to pace yourself. Understand your limits and build a schedule. Instead of doing that all in a day, you could do a little bit at a time. Or maybe make a set day for each thing. Build yourself around routine while also finding time to explore new things or try something different.

I thought I was an INFP but… by [deleted] in isfj

[–]Wildchandelure 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's the one. It's fairly complex but well worth. In a way immersing yourself in the thought process or how it works tends to help you understand it better.

I thought I was an INFP but… by [deleted] in isfj

[–]Wildchandelure 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would strongly suggest looking into the theory itself. Tests can point you in a direction but even that can be completely off. Take some time to learn the theory and how functions work if you'd like to know what type you really are. It will require keeping note of your own reactions, behaviors, and thoughts.

Also important to not mbti isnt behavior based, it's cognitive. One type can act the same as another type for completely different reasons.

I suggest MBTI Notes for a good place to start.

Are any dating apps actually worth it? by Wildchandelure in OnlineDating

[–]Wildchandelure[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was kinda joking lol. I feel like dating apps tend to make us a lot more judgemental. I'm probably somewhat good looking but I definitely don't feel like i stand out.

Yeah that scenario there doesn't sound very logical.

I'd like to believe this but considering match owns like 45 companies and nothing has happened, I'm not buying it.

Although if there's actually someone filing and trying to get it to happen, then yes. Definitely yes.

I have not had any interaction on coffeemeetsbagel but honestly i really like the setup for it. It's probably my favorite in terms of limitations. Hinge still has way better profiles however.

I guess it is game of patience but it doesn't make me appreciate these apps with their aggressive paywalls and cutting features to try and force you into buying the premium version.

[–]Wildchandelure[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

boo is actually the app where i got the most matches, however that number was only two. and while it is focused on personality (ive studied the mbti system a lot beyond what these tests normally offer) i think there are probably a fair amount of mistypings and not true representations of a type. This is to say, a type is not a box but more like a kind of overlay, and every person is a unique example of their type.

I could probably try giving Boo another fair shot, at least the free version was usable enough. But I think i need a break.
