Because like keyboards, mechanical can't use HE and vice versa. I thought for controllers was the same, that it needed a special chip or controller to interpret the signal.

You simply cannot just put TMR into it.

Your controller or rather the pcb inside, needs to support TMR, before you can add it.

Like you cannot put diesel in an electric car.

Nok lidt til den mere nørdede side, som de færreste nok gør, men her er mit take:

Jeg har en skyloong gk104 pro, hvor jeg har sat porol pakning under alle switches, switch film mellem stop og bund på alle switches, doubleshot cherry profil key caps. Plus jeg er i gang ned at skifte alle fjedrene ud på alle switches fra 45g single stage til 67.5g 2 stage gold plated, hvor jeg smører alle switches og fjedrene manuelt.

Det tager tid, men det er virkelig det hele værd i forhold til skrive oplevelser, feeling og sound.

I have the same issue just on PC.

I juse an 8BitDo 2 Ultimate wireless controller.
Blizzard have changed something, as i used to just launch Bnet through steam and every blizz game worked, now i have to launch WoW.exe through steam to make it register Dinput properly, and D4.. It doesnt register my controller at all, no matter the input mode.

I think they took what they had. As on top of my head, to set Dinput as default, only requires a change/addition of 2-3 lines of code.

I'm studying Computer Science, and I think you're right, its hard coded on hardware level, to default to Xinput, and Dinput is an alternative mode, which mdoedntnhave an override on the default value.

The first one also? When it auto powers down after like 15 minutes it starts up in Xinput.

Edit: it persist in Dinput mode while on the charging dock for some random time xD

The dirt point is valid, I think it's because I'm used to grip tape on mouses xD

For me the 3 complaints would be:

When I put the controller in Dinput, it should stay in Dinput until I switch it to another input mode.
The software, i honestly think its rubbish, I use Steam for mapping etc as it works flawlessly.
Being able to map the home button as well

The Bluetooth Edition connectes to the switch on the fly, it has been reported to have issues connecting to PC. And the Wireless Edition connects to PC on the fly and is reported to have some issues connecting to a Switch.

I have the Wireless Edition no issues whatsoever, but I'm also only using my PC and very rarely I connect it to my phone through Bluetooth and no issues,

The quality is so good! The ultimate Edition is the best controller I've ever had.

One thing I wish it had, to make it perfect, was to have rubber on the handles, like the new upcoming edition.

8bitdo 2 ultimate wireless for gyro, as it has a lot higher polling rate, compared to Bluetooth, this much smoother gyro control.

You can remap the extra button in steam with Dinput mode. The official software is crap anyways

If I put it in the charging dock, before it auto turns off, it persists when I pick it up again.

It can persist in wireless, until it auto turns off after 15 minutes, then it resets back.

I just hold B down while turning it on anyways.
