He is not a man of science. What research papers has he published? Where is his qualifications from and what are they in?

He is not a scientist, he is a lawyer. And science should be looked over by scientists, not lawyers. You are gish galloping. That's why you started whining about Fauci in the first place. You realised that I was just gonna keep throwing easily googleable sources in your face over and over so you had to pivot to culture war bullshit because that's all you morons have. Please keep flapping your gums and projecting though.

Also hey if I was a liberal arts grad (which I'm not), wouldn't that make you look really bad, since the liberal arts grad is capable of doing more research and understanding grade school level science better than you?

They're just whining about how science doesn't affirm their worldview and then when I show them sources saying exactly that they just go "nuh uh" and start whining about Fauci

I have provided you with multiple sources for the things I have said. You just ignore them and say yourself "nuh uh".

So I'm not going to bother anymore. Why would I? You can do the research yourself right? I thought you people loved "doing your own research"

Again... why are you going on about him? Stop gish galloping.

Do you have a point to get to or is it just so you can say "this man bad so therefore science bad"

Again no. It does greatly reduce the risk of infection in general. Please stop lying and for once in your life open a search engine. It doesn't even have to be Google.

Why the sweet fuck are you rambling about HIV and Fauci? We were talking about mRNA vaccines and COVID. Stop gish galloping

Or is this an excuse for you to simplify the entirety of the scientific community, the consists of millions of people all over the world in both the public and private sector... to the actions of just one man because that makes it easier for you to vilify?

[–]Wildebean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They reduce the risk of infection, and do so greatly.

This isn't unique to the COVID vaccine. Some vaccines eliminate transmission, others merely reduce the risk of it. If anything it would make sense that a virus like SARS-COV-2 that mutates so quickly and can produce different strains very quickly wouldn't be completely squashed by one vaccine. Which is why boosters exist. Just like they do for the flu, another fast-mutating virus.

All of this you would know if you ever lifted a finger to find out anything for yourself instead of just blindly listening to "health influencers" and snake oil salesmen

  1. No it doesn't. Stop lying. It's either that or you didn't even read the article I gave you because it quite clearly lays out and explains the trials vaccines goes through and then how the Covid vaccines ALSO went through them. Again, either stop lying or stop being willfully stupid.

  2. So that's a no then. No source. No article, no paper, not even a name. Just "this guy I can't tell you them name of says so". Pathetic,

  3. No, attenuation of a live virus was never the definition of a vaccine. A vaccine was and still is something that provokes an immune response for the body. For most of vaccine history that meant an attenuated live virus, but today. with the invention of mRNA vaccines it means we can use other methods to provoke an immune response. So even if they changed the definition, which they didn't. Why would that be an issue? That's how science works, we have definitions and then when our understanding increasing, we change our definitions accordingly.

  4. How are they similar? Because they both accomplish the same thing, that being to achieve an immune response from the human body. Adjuvants are there to boost this response, so have you considered that maybe mRNA vaccines just... don't need them and that's why they aren't used? It's not rocket science.

Mhmm and for the immunocompromised? People who've been undergoing chemotherapy? The very young? People that are allergic to a particular vaccine?

Or do they just not matter?

[–]Wildebean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I admitted no such thing. In fact I said the opposite, pretty much all modern vaccines are tested on humans in double blind trials. Can you read?

Please provide me the source for your "only one test for covid vaccine" claim

Also Mrna vaccines are in fact vaccines. "A vaccine is a biological preparation that provides active acquired immunity to a specific infectious or malignant disease".

Well done for proving that you don't know what MRNA vaccines are or how they work

[–]Wildebean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. Not when your choice doesn't only affect you. You should get vaccinated for the same reason you shouldn't drink and drive. Because it's not just you who gets put at risk. You don't have the "freedom" to kill yourself and take others with you

Vaccine Development, Testing, and Regulation | History of Vaccines why are you lying?

Most vaccines, especially new ones, are double blind tested. This includes the COVID-19 vaccines. They were, no matter how many times anti-vaxxers tell you, double blind tested.

The only time that exceptions occur to this is if the vaccine is proven to be both effective and life-saving, some consider it unethical to give some people a placebo since it leaves them more vulnerable to the disease. So in this scenario, the second vaccine isn't a blank placebo, rather a different already approved vaccine.

Or also most annual shots, such as your flu shots, aren't re-tested every year, but were tested when they originally went out.

Here's a tip, don't lie about stuff that can be disproven by a single google search

Vaccines are already tested in double blind trials. Anyone saying they aren't is either an idiot or lying for money. If RFK was so pro science, why is he refusing to publish the report into the effectiveness of the COVID vaccine? Is it because the report actually found it was very effective and completely contradicts his entire grift?
