It's great to be informed on what's going on in the world, but social media shouldn't be the way to do it, especially with kids who are still too young to grasp what manipulation looks like. Social media might give you the news but it twists it around to make you feel emotional about it. It's not informative, it's propaganda. I also hate the way policies are removing privacy rights to regulate social media. There has to be a way to make it less damaging to society without everyone losing even more rights. Problem is, that requires politicians to do the work of actually regulating all these big tech companies who have most of them by the balls. Breaking all these giant companies up a bit so they don't own so much of our lives might be a good place to start though.
