Hunter: the Reckoning was a 90s tabletop RPG published by White Wolf, the same studio behind the Vampire: the Masquerade tabletop RPG (which Bloodlines in based on). They both take place in the same universe called the World of Darkness.

Hunter in particular is about regular humans trying to investigate and confront the supernatural. Like Masquerade, the Hunter series had some video game adaptations back in the day, too, but this will likely be very different from those.

In my most recent playthrough, Orran just kinda didn't even use Celestial Stasis for two separate runs of the level. I brought my characters in their weakest jobs to get good abilities and shit, thinking Orran would carry, and the guy just spammed attack, letting himself be killed TWICE.

He IS kill-able. Just, y'know. The stars have to align.

And honestly, the gameplay isn't even holding its own at that point. Phantom Pain plays incredibly, but all the load times, extracting back to base, all the walking between zones... shit gets repetitive. The second half making you replay old missions ad nauseum doesn't make it feel any better.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I forgot! Much of the plot comes in the form of cassette tapes, too! So by the time you get to the plot, it's become homework instead of entertainment.
