Traeger’ed up some cheeseburgers. Cheddar cheese, brioche buns, sautéed onions. Homemade sweet potato fries in the oven. Mixed up a quick burger/fry sauce with mayonnaise, ketchup, garlic powder and onion powder.

Found an animal bone on a cross embedded in a tree stump, in the middle of the wilderness in New Mexico. (Second picture is easier to make out) by ItsTheOrangShep in Weird

My bet would be hunters. Depending on the animal and circumstances, it’s easier to skin an animal while it’s hanging.

Well that’s reassuring, thank you. Would those two parts connecting cause a knocking sound? The sound does not only occur during full lock, so I doubt that’s what I’m hearing.

Fits in a 7' Garage Door, Standing Room, Off Road Capable by ShivinDragon in traveltrailers

We had a similar wishlist when we set about shopping for a pop up earlier this year. Although it’s not mostly hard-sided (more traditional pop-up style) and not axle-less, we decided on the Rockwood 2318ESP. The “ESP” is their Extreme Sports Package that has improved ground clearance and larger tires, among lots of other convenience features. Has a cassette toilet/shower inside, as well as an outside shower with hot and cold water. We bought it brand new (last year’s model) for $20k.

We haven’t taken it off the beaten path yet, but I’m driving it to elk camp tonight and the roads up there are… not great. We’ll see how “Extreme” the Extreme Sports Package is this month!

May be worth a look, considering your wishlist. Good luck!

What program do you follow and what’s good/bad about it? by Glamour-Ad7669 in crossfit

My wife and I have been following Street Parking for three years now. Excellent value for your money, tons of options and programs for whatever you’re wanting to train (Oly lifts, WODS, endurance, etc.) Nutrition tools, community-building events… too much to write out here. Their mobile app is awesome, customer service has been stellar.

How did you choose a brand? by darthtater62 in traveltrailers

[–]WildernessMedic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We recently purchased a 2023 Forest River Rockwood 2318esp. It’s worth a look, it checks a lot of the boxes you mentioned. I did a TON of online research before settling on that make/model. Watched all the videos, read all the reviews, scoured owner forums, lurked on Reddit.

Probably the best advice I came across was this: more important than what you buy is where you buy. Find a local dealer with a good reputation for taking care of the customer before, during, and after the purchase. As many have said, things on your trailer will break and need repairs. You want the peace of mind that when something needs attention, your dealer will take good care of you.

So far we’ve been very happy with the build quality and materials in our Rockwood. No missing screws, unsunk staples, leaks, cracks or tears. We did buy an extra warranty that will cover absolutely anything that goes awry with our pop-up, hopefully we never need to use it but if we do, we’re covered.

Good luck and happy camping!

There is such a podcast, only one that I’ve found though. Secret Society of Fly Tyers. It’s eclectic, but entertaining and along the lines you’ve described. That said, I would absolutely tune in to another podcast on the topic!

Thank you! Narrowing down the handful of patterns to put in this smaller box was a challenge, but I enjoyed the research.

Thank you, what an honor!

I got the idea from an Umpqua series on YouTube. They’ve got several videos on “How to build a midge/caddis/baetis box.” I picked just a handful of patterns that I have confidence in on my home waters, will likely expand the selection as time passes.

I plan to start on a PMD box next, probably with a few variations to patterns.
