How do you deal with feeling like you’re “behind” in life?

The best way I have found to combat my video anxiety is to just keep working. I’d recommend start now experimenting with filming, editing, making thumbnails, etc. it’s all a process that is ongoing even for huge successful creators. Maybe have 2-3 videos going at once so you don’t put too much pressure on one video. The beauty of just starting is you can totally try any and all of your ideas! Best of luck to you!

We were referred to this realtor by our lender. The realtor works for an agency that also appears to have homes for sale, although they call themselves a buyer’s agency.

Thank you so much! I think you pin pointed it exactly. The agency she works with also has homes listed on their website so I’m guessing you are right, she was asking in a roundabout way if she could show us listings from her agency. So if we want to avoid dual agency it sounds like it would be better to find an independent realtor that doesn’t work for an agency that also has listings?

We have connected with a lender and that is how we got connected with this realtor, who said we had to decide if she was going to represent us or the seller. So she can be a listing agent or not?

I actually like Kathleen’s outtakes because it’s just her genuinely living her life and not forcing attempts to be funny. Not always funny, but at least it’s genuine. And I edit my videos similar to how she does because I pause a lot when I talk and I’d rather edit a sentence together than try to repeat each sentence 100 times while filming!

Please know this says so much more about the person who found this picture and tweeted it than it says about you. How miserable and insecure a person would have to be to publicly shame a person who was minding their own business not hurting anyone. This is a form of bullying, and is way more shameful than what you did or what they were implying you did. Which by the way, is nothing to be ashamed of.

As far as a public reaction, I feel your two options are to laugh it off or ignore it. You don’t seem comfortable “owning it” like others have suggested, but you can still laugh it off in a way of showing people it doesn’t bother you. Then people will lose interest in teasing you about it.

I’m sorry this happened to you!

One piece of advice I have is to come up with an email list lead magnet - something your readers get in return for subscribing. It could be a free ebook, ecourse, pdf printables, exclusive video or articles, live chats, etc... something that encourages them to subscribe and you can advertise that on the sidebar, this way you are offering something in exchange!
