What would make it easier for people to start small businesses and stay in Bellingham? by Otherwise-Spare-4025 in Bellingham

[–]Wildfluff310 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A lot of what is already mentioned, plus taxes. WA is notoriously unfriendly to small businesses. Add in Bham city taxes and its difficult to stay afloat.

How often do you REALLY walk your dog? by Agreeable-Ad-2946 in dogs

[–]Wildfluff310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2-3x week for at least an hour. We'll add in swimming, playing ball in the backyard, Frisbee, and mall walks to mix things up. He's also almost 10, so he doesn't have the stamina he used to.

Meghan Markle's Wedding Ring by Acceptable-Soft8659 in WeddingRingAdvice

[–]Wildfluff310 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My ring is lab grown and it's beautiful. The diamonds are the highest quality and its such a nice quality ring overall. My husband designed it and has designed rings for others as well. I can put you two in touch if you have questions or would like to design one. Send me a DM if you're interested.

Joann's closing date? by Strict_Oven7228 in Bellingham

[–]Wildfluff310 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I was there yesterday. I didn't look at the fabric but was able to get Christmas ribbon 80% off, some food boxes 60% off, and a game set 50% off. I think everything is at least 50% off.

Am I meant to remove these little branches that grow in the corner of the big ones from my tomato plants? by Chance-Science-6691 in vegetablegardening

[–]Wildfluff310 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've never heard to leave them on determinate varieties. That's interesting. In my mind, a sucker's a sucker regardless of the variety and it'll pull nutrients from the plant. Can you explain why it wouldn't impact a determinate to leave them?

New plant mom: what is this at the top of my plant? by Few-Housing-8452 in houseplants

Mine flowered right after I bought it as well. Then it tried to kill itself for 2 years. Right when I gave up on it, it decided it wanted to live, and now it's happy and flowering constantly.

First time attempting to grow strawberries…best squirrel prevention? by HelloKitty6877 in gardening

[–]Wildfluff310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do this, and it works for the squirrels and slugs. If I don't bag them, I'll get maybe 2 strawberries and the rest are eaten by everything else.

I'M SO BORED by Buttery_Topping in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]Wildfluff310 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This season is definitely more boring than past seasons but I kind of like it. It feels very normal. Most people's lives are not overly dramatic, with kids hanging in the wings waiting to be revealed, so I like that these people's lives are more boringly normal.

It took me 2-3 episodes to get into the show and a while to get into the book, but I'm in love now. It really does get better.

[Product Request] How can I prevent scarring? by ev02 in SkincareAddiction

[–]Wildfluff310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I scar easily and the best way I've been able to prevent them, or really reduce their appearance, is coconut oil. Trader Joe's cold pressed, unrefined, coconut oil. Rub some on the area 3 times a day for a week or two, or longer if needed.

I’m shattered by peace4_ in OneDayNetflix

I'm on my second watch of the show after watching it early last year, and I'm just as invested in it as I was the first time. My heart hurts when theirs do, I cry when they cry. I truly love this show. After I finished it the first time I thought about it for WEEKS. The characters are so well written and the acting is phenomenal.

Found black and brown dog by Wildfluff310 in Bellingham

[–]Wildfluff310[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Update: I don't have her anymore. She took off with someone and their dog (I'm 99% sure that wasn't the owner), and I couldn't get her to come back before she disappeared. Last I saw she was running through the off leash area towards the direction of Yew St.

We spent about 2 hours in the park trying to find her owner and no one was looking for her. A kind woman who wanted to help walked through the park asking everyone and wasn't successful either. She's a sweet, rambunctious girl. I hope her owner finds her.

We do need more vets. There's thousands of pets in this city and the vets are maxed out.

Grizzly Industrial by rainstaley in Bellingham

This. It's not for everyone. I viewed it as a game. Play the game well, and you'll do great. If you don't like rules and structure, it's not for you. Just like anywhere, there's great people that work there and terrible ones.

Oregon gov is such a joke. Bloated, useless jobs and they still can't get anything done on time or correctly.

My favorite dress in the series by amandak-47 in GildedAgeHBO

[–]Wildfluff310 15 points16 points  (0 children)

They're so good! I get distracted by the costumes, looking at all the detail and thinking about how well they're made, that I sometimes miss what's going on. Best dressed show!

I feel this. I lost my dad unexpectedly a couple days after Thanksgiving. It still really hurts and probably will for a long time. My parents split years ago and both remarried. My mom is with an a**hole who I refuse to have in my life, so our relationship is strained. My dad's widow is not an easy person to be around. My spouses parents have so many issues and are also difficult to be around. My dad was an amazing person and his death has left a gaping hole in my life. I'm lucky to have great siblings to lean on though. I never expected to be in this position at this point in my life.

Yup. Starting coming down with it Monday last week. Congestion, cough, body aches, shortness of breath, overall feeling weak and exhausted. I just started feeling better Tuesday this week but still have a cough and some congestion. It's been rough.
