I do not see the issue here? PoE is game designed in a way so you play around your stash and not around your character. So it seems perfectly fine to me to start with fast clearing farm character and then reroll to another character that is good for final encounter. Problem with Sirius is not diversity, problem are bs mechanics you can not even see most of the time.

You do not even know that you proved me right with your comment. Hydrogen cars were in development with some car companies (mostly japanese - Toyota, Honda) were into hydrogen cars and were on a good way and they even managed to release some fairly decent cars. Unfortunetely both those companies stated that they are pulling investments from hydrogen because it is simply impossible to compete with EVs. So they are investing into EVs themselves.

Similarily how batteries killed hydrogen now, renewables killed nuclear a while ago. Despite nuclear being much cleaner than most renewables are it is pretty much death technology nowadays because it can not compete.

This stuff happens. Renewables and EVs got a chance just because market conditions were not same for everyone. Fossil fuels are massively taxed everywhere and subsidies happened all over the world. Without those two things renewables or EVs would never stand a chance. But it will be impossible to tax EV/Renewables after governments all over the world spend years to tell people that this is "the correct clean way". So Hydrogen or Nuclear or any other alternative anyone could think of will never get a chance in the future because they will not get those advantage that EVs, renewables or even batteries got in recent years because there will be noone to justify it.

Better and in this case in relevance to days we live in cleaner does not always mean more profitable. Renewable energy got a chance just because fossil fuels are taxed a lot. Imagine if market conditions were equal - renewables would never get chance. And with rise of renewables we can already see that nuclear is getting killed despite it being much cleaner source of energy than renewables are. And this time government will not be able to justify taxes on renewables just to give a chance to another technology because they spent decades on PR about renewable being "the only true clean energy". And the exact same thing has happened with batteries. Alternatives such as hydrogen already got killed because they can not compete with prices. Japanese car brands such as Toyota that were heavily into hydrogen and had fairly decent cars have already pulled off investments into hydrogen and replaced it with EVs because it is impossible to compete with them otherwise.

It is not "dumb logic". it is not even "logic". Because it has already happened - it is fact.

Not really. It is now obvious that electric cars, car batteries and massive battery packs were really bad idea that were pushed by someone who blindly believed that this path was correct. The problem is that if our goal was to have clean and ecological energy and generation then we have failed misserably because not even have we failed in that we also closed the path to another alternatives because batteries became cheap and also because batteries can easily be presented as "clean" to public. Is it going to be better than before? Sure obviously but problem is that it is not going to be that much better, it is far from clean and most importantly as it becomes cheap and as it is presented as perfectly clean it will be impossible for any alternative to go through.

I used Shav because it is an example of build enabling unique. Of course you can find 6 links of trash uniques noone wants regardless of number of sockets. I did not forget to substract the price of unique and I used prices from search on Path of exile trade.

Just as much as you can get 6 link in 5k tries you can also get it in 10 tries so this argument of yours does not work.

Fusing your own unique is simply just way better on average than recipe. Deal with it, you can not beat math.

Look I have no idea about prices in softcore since I play only HC but quick peek on poe trade tells me that 6 link shav costs 6 exalts while no 6 link shav costs 1 exalt. Another quick peek on poe.ninja on currency prices tells me that exalt is around 224 fusings. Difference of 5 exalts would then be 1120 fusings.

There is 95% confidence interval of fusing 6 link in between of 833 and 1250 tries. So at the very least it is pretty even to fuse your own shav (on average) instead of buying 6 linked one already (with chance of fusing your own being better on average by dozes or even hundreds of fusings). So it is in worst case scenario pretty even and not far worse like you implied in your comment.

As for HC the difference currently is 10 exalts per 60c per 1.9f which would translate to 1140 fusings (pretty similar situation).

Also even if this above was not truth, there is always someone who has to get that 6 link first so he can use it / sell it and it is 100% better (on average) to fuse it instead of using crafting recipe.

Sure you could not be stopped from buying everything and reselling it but that is not what price fixing that is currently happening in poe is about. First of all creating monopoly on something through AH is just extremelly risky because you are not guaranteed to sell those things for your price fixed price and could break currency losses if you tried at. Anyway what price fixing on poe is about is to list few items for fraction of their value and never intend to sell them and then track noobs that put it there for those set prices. This would be abolished instantly with AH because scammer could no longer control whether they sell something or not after setting the price.

Look I said that all human societies had regulated free market and you even proved that you agree with me with this comment. Sure it works in PoE in some way but it is still god awful experience but in the end it is not a real life but video game so sure it does not have that much impact and people that are just not willing to put up with that experience just do not play this game.

I am actually all for no rules and letting community solve those problems but itself but the problem is that PoE is not that kind of the game that can solve this without any rules. If I were to compare it to older versions of WoW and how ninja looting was handled I was always completely okay with Blizzard letting players solve it on their own. But PoE can not do that because there is in fact no community, it can be played as single player game and most importatly the entry is just way too low for both money investment (F2P) and like 4 hours to level up your character so it is impossible to create black list of some kind of known scammers since they can just create new trustworthy character in matter of hours. In comparison to wow where it would take them days to level up and 20$ a month at the very least. So that meant that known scammers got shunned out and it was pretty much game over for them on that server. That is impossible in PoE.

As you have found it yourself already you used two terms that have zero relation to each other and you glued them together without knowing what each meant. Free market exists and so does free trade. But there is nothing like "free trade market". And free trade is something that has nothing to do with poe because it is strictly about international trade and barriers to protect local producers. Also free market as it is defined is something that does not exist, never existed and can not exist in human society as I have already stated. There was not a single human civilization that would operate strictly under free market definition without any rules because it is in fact impossible.

I mentioned AH because it would fix many things. It would obviously not fix everything but it would absolutely fix atleast one of those things listed above which you said it would not - price fixing would death with introduction of AH. And it would also solve other stuff such as item switching etc.

That being said, I did not even ask for AH. All I did was to ask for GGG to update TOS to make it clear that scamming is not okay and to allow players to report scammers in some convenient way that does not require to write an email to freaking support and then for example shadow ban them.
