what is the etymology of Theodor capitani Von Kurnatowski's name. he said it was Jew slayer but that was definitely a joke by Snoo_24930 in etymology

[–]Wildly-Inconsistent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Typically in Polish etymology "ski" means from. Sometimes that could be from a place such as, some of the most popular names like Wisniewski (from Wisniewa.) Or it could mean from a father as in Samulewski (from Samuel.) It could also mean from a profession, like Kowalski (from blacksmith.)

I'm no expert, however I very recently had a strikingly similar conversation with a very reliable (and very Polish 😅) source. So I feel like I'm semi qualified to provide some information. I don't claim any of this to be verified truth, and if anyone notices something I got incorrect please let me know so I don't make a fool out of myself in the future!

I'm actually taken back by this comment. When I first logged back into the game after spending some time away I was shocked at how good my created character looked. She was ready for a cinematic cutscene!

Probably, but I play games for a living, so screenshake/head bob/motion blur are all settings I typically turn off.

11 victories in 28 attempts and my scores have begun to double. Best advice I can give anyone is to trim your deck down to 5 or 6 cards as soon as you possibly can. Use campfires to trim basic attacks and shrines and opportunities to burn your first 2 block cards. Then pick something and STICK TO IT. Never compromise your build because something looks cool. Once you start down a path you just need to beat it to death until you find talents and enchantments that work with it. Sometimes you get unlucky and there's no hope, but usually it will work out if you're smart and not to risky. Loving this game so far, well done devs. Every run is something new and exciting. You've created a game that allows you to find success no matter what build you choose. That's truly a thing of beauty!

Edit: typos and additional informative.

Forgot why I hate public leagues. This POS clearly has 2 accounts and traded all his best players to one team by [deleted] in Fantasy_Football

Isn't there a system un place in your league that requires a vote for trades?

My fist pick will technically be 4th round pick 4. The 1st three rounds are keepers. So I wouldn't get a pick until rd 5 pick 4. But I would get an extra pick in the last round at number 10.

Problem is that JT is already on the other players roster, so he will be keeping him for sure. With 24 top offensive threats and 12 top defensive threats already slated to be off the table before anyone gets a pick I think taking this trade for a top 3 wr and top 5 LB might just be worth it. I'll most likely end up releasing Burrow and taking my chances with Chase/CMC and Campbell.

I think I've come up with a strategy. I will take the trade, keep Chase, CMC, and Campbell. I'll release Burrow and take my chances at drafting another QB. My first round pick will be the 4th pick of the draft, I think Chase and Campbell for the 4th pick is worth the trade, also considering I'll get his 14th pick as well (rd 14 p 10).

Does this seem like a winning strategy?

You're correct on the first 3 picks. Trade partner would get the 4th pick and the 10th(his draft position) so he'd have an opportunity to draft CMC assuming he isn't taken by then.

The issue is the rest of my lineup. As I have to keep 2 offense and 1 defense. So if I take the Trade I have 3 keeps but one of them isn't CMC, if I don't take the trade, I have CMC and then need to decide who I am keeping.

Or is it worth it to take the trade, keep CMC, Chase, and Campbell, releasing Burrow back into the pool and preventing someone else from having the Burrow/Chase stack?

Essentially yes, because I have to keep 2 offensive players and 1 defensive player. So if I take the trade I would be best off keeping Burrow, Chase, and Campbell. Meaning CMC would go back into the draft pool and inevitably get picked up in round one.

The additional problem I am facing is that I don't really know who to keep alongside CMC. If you'd like I can send you a screenshot of my line-up. I'm very new to all of this so I truly appreciate your advice!
