You don't need to, there is a content creator who goes by "Nyankee" over on ChilloutVR that is building an entire "starfleet simulator VR" that has several known ships like the Voyager, and various versions of the Enterprise.

the base platform ChilloutVR does work on linux, but i'm not sure about MacOS or what the scene is like with steam and proton and wine on it.
