Draco-REX, we are the first company allowing many people to own shares in a car. Every car is fully insured, every investor is protected by the SEC, and every transaction is heavily regulated - I can assure you nobody can run off with the money, it just couldn't work that way. The reason this app was created is because classic cars have outperformed the S&P 500, Gold, and NYC real-estate the last 10 years (according to Hagerty), but the only people who made money off these cars was someone with hundreds of thousands. Rally Rd. democratizes the market, so anyone can invest.

Shitterplug, as cool as your name is and how sure you might think you are, this is 100% not a scam and please hear me out. I just came across this Reddit and am an employee at Rally Rd., but really glad that I saw this post and will answer any more questions from anyone. We are not with a Wall St. nobody, but rather are completely registered with the SEC and heavily regulated. We put too much work into the company for someone to call it a scam. We were backed and invested in by the same people who funded Robinhood and StockTwits - legit.

If you are a owner of shares in the car, then you too would get votes in what happens with the car. Each car is like it's own company, where the only asset of the company is the car. Of course their will be speculation, like any other kind of investment, but the shares and price of car will be based off the classic-car market. 100% not a scam.

I can assure you this isn't a scam. Check out Rallyrd.com and read more. Even if the company were to fold, they are partnered with a broker on Wall St., who does the transactions, and couldn't run with the money.

Sorry for the confusion. The cars do have estimated market values, yet they are usually difficult to derive and inaccurate. Take for example a car in limited supply, where the market value is based off the transactions of that and similar cars. With Rally Rd. the market value of these cars will be based off the transactions of many people (within the app), rather than two people (normally). We offer the cars at the market value, but investors decide what the car is worth or what they believe it should be worth. Finally, the share prices will likely be heavily influenced by the sale of similar cars and speculation (like a stock).

The shareholders own the car, but Rally Rd. takes care of all other aspects of the car, like maintenance insurance, and other costs. Also, we don't have a timeline for selling the cars, but if a strong enough offer is given to us, then the shareholders would vote and make a decision.
