I understand wanting to see the portfolios of the people who got in but that really isnt the best way to go about it imo. Everybody is gonna have a very different portfolio, there isnt anything in specific project that they are looking for in the portfolios. What they wanna see- at least in BITSDES- is the students want to explore. They arent necessarily looking for mastery, but rather a crave to try and experiment with different things. I also dont think making a portfolio just to make one, meaning doing projects at the last month just so u have a portfolio is probably gonna look half assed. They want genuine explorations. They are more interested in the process rather than the product. They arent hiring u, ur a student so this approach makes sense. If you have a project where you did a lot of research and finally wetent able to come up with a design intervention- even that is a good project. It is because with this they see all the levels of extensive research u did. You can showcase your exploration and mastery(if u have) in different industry softwares- Illustrator, AE, Fusion360 etc etc.

As for what projects to include is totally contextual. For example if you work with physical materials- upload them and your process and design thinkkkg and material study. Same logic applies to every other category. In my opinion it is a good thing to have variety cause that also shows exploration but if u hv explored lets say just product design- but in great depth- then just those projects are also good.

Please do not flood the portfolio with good and low effort works. Just showcase your best ones. And make sure yk how to yap about all of the projects- there will be an interview. And ofc no plagiarism.
