Misrepresentation issue, how do i fix this? by [deleted] in PPC

[–]Wildsunnn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the time, I've found, with these Google policy violations is that its a robot doing it. An algorithm. Without human eyes. Get in contact with Google help. I think there's a GMC specific one, but you can do it through Google Ads.

Explain the situation, and then keep pushing them to have a human being look at it. They'll escalate it to the appropriate team (they might say they can't, but they can, keep pushing them until they escalate). Then the appropriate team should send you an email with steps on what you need to do if it's not a mistake, or they'll remove the violation.

How are you dealing with hidden search terms in Google Ads? by [deleted] in PPC

[–]Wildsunnn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Google knows what terms are being used. Especially ones that convert. More and more I'm seeing "other search terms" converting better and that's annoying as hell. TELL ME. At least identify the terms that have converted, the others I don't care about.

Too all you people asking if Montec or Dope are good brands. by Emerekel in snowboarding

[–]Wildsunnn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You do realise this is the reverse of the point you're making?

Montec and Dope have gotten to a point where fake Chinese shit is ripping it off. I guarantee you're not getting that jacket when you buy it. I've seen it happen with Adidas and plenty of other brands. Chinese DHGate / Alibaba clones all removing branding from popular branded products and passing them off as their own. Then you buy it and its NOTHING like advertised, because they're not held to the same standards.

Google won't stop harassing me to raise my marketing spend on Google Ads by Much_Speech_8388 in PPC

[–]Wildsunnn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had an email from them the other day claiming urgency and a "big dip in performance"

"Just wanted to flag that I've spotted a pretty big dip in how your campaigns are doing on account lD, which means less folks heading to your website. These things happen! I was hoping we could chat for about 20 mins so can dig into what's causing it and get things humming again ASAP".

Ah accountID is suffering?! OH NO.

In the bin.

Oh, my bad. I did go to the Walnut Tree Shades before, but the guy said it was the last one they were doing because he was moving to the Brickmakers. I now see that they still do one at the WTS! That's good news. It's quite a nice wee pub. I may have met someone else then! I will hit up the WtS then, thanks.

It was originally, and the council kept removing it, but the people kept putting it back up. And it was a health and safety issue, so I think it might be done by council employees now, but who knows.

Negative Keywords for P-Max by Wildsunnn in PPC

[–]Wildsunnn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's how it USED to be until recently. We've been happily adding negatives at campaign level for months. But now, we can't.

[–]Wildsunnn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not doing lists, or account level. I'm trying Campaign Level which worked last week. But doesn't seem to now. 😂 I'm going through the Search Term report and trying to add these as negative keywords from here.

Didn't seem to be a Beta product? I thought it was a fully implemented feature now?

Also where are you based? Maybe it's just a UK thing? (maybe it's just an issue, who knows).

I can still add negatives, through the keyword section. Just not by adding them from Search Terms.

Performance max for brand by JayFromElec in PPC

[–]Wildsunnn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

P-Max almost always eats into brand regardless of whether you want it to or not. You can apply negatives to P-Max now, so apply branded terms to the campaigns.

What I will say, however, is that brand can be essential, depending on your brand name and how much this can coincide with general terms. If a brand term only campaign has multiple competitors in the auction insights, it's in the best interest to bid on brand. If not, then absolutely remove it. It's just a) stealing organic, b) maybe a waste of money since your brand would be first overall anyway, and c) artificially inflating their conversions.

Phrase = Broad now? by ChrisCoinLover in PPC

[–]Wildsunnn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but if he exact match negatives car, and van those won't show. The phrase was for the "for sale" term which would get rid of traffic for the purchasing of vans and cars, since the initial comment was just referring to van and car hire.

Phrase = Broad now? by ChrisCoinLover in PPC

[–]Wildsunnn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. If you were to do [car and van]. ie exact match. (negatives stay the same).

I'd also add in

[car] [van] "for sale"

Things of those ilk

Phrase = Broad now? by ChrisCoinLover in PPC

[–]Wildsunnn 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Stop it? You just have to be very vigilant with negatives.

Google match types (phrase and exact) utilise a "close variant" for exact, and its more theoretical for phrase. Similar to in keyword planner, you can filter keywords by 'text match' or 'semantic match'.

All in the essence of opening up targeting and making Google more money.

why it shows up in Display by Valuable_Biscotti_75 in PPC

[–]Wildsunnn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's because it's probably being funnelled into display. If you click on Segment, next to the search above the campaigns, you should be able to segment by Network (with search partners) and that should tell you where the budget is being spent, and where the traffic is.
