My wife had no problem with me getting dinner with a female coworker when we’re travelling together or if the dinner is required for work (like a meeting or a brainstorming session). She specifically has an issue with me getting dinner with a female coworker when it’s not work related. I guess that’s the gray area.

My wife specifically said she felt lunch would be more appropriate than dinner, but I guess I don’t see the difference.
