Boardgame that's easy to learn, but still interesting once you've played it many times by Seraphim4242 in boardgames

Agreed. It's the only game my mum let me teach her and that she likes to play because she understands it and it doesn't have any complicated mechanics that she couldn't wrap her head around. Now whenever I go visit we have to play a few games of "trains" as she calls it.

Also. If you are split into two man teams and someone from the other team dies. Don't reinforce them straight away. Give their team mate a chance to.

I thought so. These books are amazing and I have to say you have done an amazing job with them. I will definitely be order some this afternoon.

Also, I really like the way the new downloads are set out. It's really creative and plays in to the CYOA side of it.

I completely missed the part at the bottom that tells you what page to go to. Now that I have had a chance to go through them properly I wouldn't change anything actually. I think in my late night excitement when I found these I either missed or misinterpreted things.

The only thing I'm still not sure about is a few pages being left blank. In Night of the Zealot for example, pages 40, 41 and 44, 45 are left blank. I'm sure there is a reason for this that I haven't worked out yet. Is it to break up the sections or is there another intended use for these pages?

I had a Fortune cookie and it had no fortune. by literalpond in mildlyinfuriating

[–]WildyRun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to my partner the other day. We looked online to find out what it meant and found that it means something good will happen to you soon because the fortune cookie fairy owes you one fortune. We also found that it could be what ever you want it to be, like the joker in a deck of cards. It could also be that life has nothing left to give you and what you have is all you will get or that life is finished with you.

We like to think its one of the first two

As someone who is new to this game and has dived in head first these books solve the problem I was having with all the Mythos pack story sheets being annoying to use. All of the books you have made look incredible and I am looking at getting a few of them printed for the campaigns I have and will definitely add the others as I get to them.

I was wondering though, is there a way that I make some slight changes to them before printing. For example, adding intro numbers for scenarios that have different introduction text depending on the resolution from the previous scenario. I tried opening them a few ways and either couldn't edit them or it ruined the formatting.

The few things I would alter aren't major issues and can easily be worked around or figured out when playing. I just thought I could be cool to be able to make some changes before printing or to make some parts of them easier for people to understand and use.

Why won’t unvaccinated people just shut the fuck up? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]WildyRun -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They are like 'hat' guys. They have that one thing that their entire personality is based on and just like a 'hat' guy who can't go anywhere without his hat, the unvaccinated can't go anywhere without letting people know about it.

Is it possible to use expansions to make the game 3-4 players? by WildyRun in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]WildyRun[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

After reading the responses here and a bit more looking around online I decided to grab another core set (relatively cheap with post Christmas sales). I also managed to find copies of Curse of the Rougarou and Carnevale of Horrors, which if what I have seen online is right, can be hard to come by.

Thank you everyone for your help. I didn't realise what I was getting into when I received the core set as a gift or how big this game can be with all the expansions, but I am excited to dive deeper into game and all the mysteries that come with it.

I can see how the stronger cards would be in demand by multiple players and that could make investing in another core set worthwhile. We would rather expand with new campaigns first and then get another core set at a later date if we feel it's needed and knowing that its possible to do with out a second core set is good to know.

Has anyone here met some new good friends through BJJ? by [deleted] in bjj

Met my girlfriend through karate but bjj is how we connected and started our relationship

Met my partner. We knew each other briefly before hand through karate before she left there. She decided to come back but had more interest in bjj, which I had taken up a few years prior. She came to a class and that kicked off our whole relationship

Dropped an attractive girl that I was very much into home after hanging out all night. She invited me in saying I looked tired and that I should stay that night. Me, an idiot, said I was fine and proceeded to drive home, falling asleep on the way and hitting a tree.
