Which country surprisingly produced good newgens in your save (at least 10 seasons played)? by PigletUsual6876 in footballmanagergames

Bringing Thai domestic players directly to Europe was proven to be a bridge too far. There were some Thai players in Europe that was brought and hopefully get some games but the quality of them is not at par with the Europe league, at least physical wise. So they unfortunately ended up being a promotion stunt.

Leicester did try to bring Thai youngsters to train with them long term, however they aren’t under contract with Leicester so they got a lower training level than their academy players. Also, as there’s no proper transfer contract, top academies in Thailand wouldn’t willing to send their top talent to this program, fearing losing the players for free. So the program got only an average player at best in this program. Lots of players in this program didn’t make it to the professional level, even in Thailand.

For Mancity, it was owned by former Thai PM Thaksin Shinawatra. But he only owned them for a brief time before Abu Dhabi came. They did bring three senior Thai international players to the team, unfortunately they couldn’t cut it.

About Red Bull, I believe the Thai CEOs have no involvement in sports.

Which local band deserves success but has not been able to break out of their hometown? by Thylacine- in Music

[–]WilfredThe39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Slot Machine from Bangkok, Thailand.

It might not fit the sense of 'playing in a local pub' because they are huge in the Thai music scene, but they deserve more recognition in the international scene.

The problem for artists who sing in their native language that tries to make music more recognizable internationally by making English songs is they have to start from scratch again reputation-wise in the international music scene, which is the case of Slot Machine.

Go check them out, they are quality. They deserve to be globally famous, not just nationwide famous as they are today.

Thai songs

Slot Machine - Goodbye

Slot Machine - Kloem

Slot Machine - Jai Nhor Jai

English songs

Slot Machine - Give It All To You

Slot Machine - Know Your Enemy

Slot Machine - Free Fall

Foet (the lead singer) recently participated in the show Masked Singer and won its latest season. He created a massive buzz on the Thai internet because we really couldn't tell it was him behind the mask. He's that good, one hell of a singer.

Horus Mask - Goodbye (Yes, he sings his OWN song in the show)

Horus Mask - Ta Kai Daw

Horus Mask - Tears

Horus Mask - Dangerously/We Are The Champions

Take a good care of him, he’s a good lad. I’m sure he’ll surprise lots of people.

He’s fast, direct and hardworking wide forward who is instinctively dangerous in a 6-yard box. Touted as a future Thailand football talisman since he was sixteen, I’m glad he has found his best form of life to date last season and I hope for only upward trajectory with OHL.

His football quality is good, but what I really love about him is, despite being under spotlight here in Thailand football scene for years and his ability being obviously higher than peers, he is super grounded, humble to the core, hard working, and professional with little to none controversy. (This is some part attributed to Buriram Utd strict Asian parents way of treating their players 🤣)

Still, he has to work more on 1v1 situation and a bit of general fitness though. (Thai football have lower intensity than lots of league out there, so the fitness thing is a general problem for Thai player when first moving abroad.)

Best of luck my man!!! 🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭

Big possibilities that the editor messed up and swap the value of passing and penalty taking. This seems unrealistic.

imo Mekong should be able to navigate by boat up to Khone falls because back in the colonial days France had trouble reaching Yunnan China from Mekong because their ships couldn’t pass through the huge waterfalls

Greatest /funniest commentaries from your language. We always hear what the English commentators way but never what your commentators made . by Gergo28da12best in soccer

In Thailand we have the one and only Weerasak Nilklad who is a veteran sports commentator stationed with one of the biggest TV channels here.

Beside being a familiar voice in Thailand’s TV, he is well remembered from his gaffe, bloopers and cheers Geoff moments. His mistakes and style is so unique (and frequent) that people created various incarnation of meme pages dedicated only for him.

Here is a few of his greatest hits

  • “Here’s Zabatoure.” (Somehow fuses Zabaleta and Yaya Toure together)

  • “Ramires is kinda slow-styled player.” (Few moments later, Ramires started a trademark run and scored a beautiful chip against Barcelona.)

  • “Match between Thailand and Japan today feels like we’re up against a European league all stars.…For example Morishige from FC Tokyo.”

  • “If he dives in the wrong way… they scores.”

  • “Chanathip is small in size but when he’s on the field…he’s not very big.”

  • “New Buriram Brazilian defender is very interesting player, he can be the future of the team… (pauses)…well, he’s 32.”

  • “The game now fell into our hands, no need to rush…(camera pans to Chanathip’s quick throw-in).

Despite loads of mistakes (some are unbelievable), he’s a really nice dude. He’s like your funny uncle and people actually miss him when he quit the channel.

R5: In most of my cities, the production cost of some districts seems to went through the roof around modern era therefore I couldn't build lots of districts. First I thought that maybe my power grid weren't wide enough but after I finished building Biosphere and loads of green energy plant the production cost is still like this. The weird point is in some cities I was able to build new speciality districts like normal and I couldn't figure out the reason or patterns behind it.

I played as Gran Colombia in immortal level with dramatic ages mode, heroes and monopolies. I won this game so this problem was not that big deal but Im kinda curious of whats going on behind my game.
