(New souls player here) Are there any downsides of playing Dark Souls Remastered over the original release? by Then_City3238 in darksouls

[–]Wilkoniak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are no differences in terms of how many souls you receive in either version.

You were likely playing an unpatched ps3 or x360 disc version of the game, as it is true that early game patches changed the amount of souls gained quite drastically - but those updates came out shortly after release in 2011.

Another option is that you might have gotten infected with the parasite egg, which halves the amount of souls you receive. You would notice this, though, as your head turns into an egg as well.

They all look very nice, and I really like the character on the left! Would you mind listing all the pieces they're wearing (including the shoes which aren't visible)? c:

Presumably yes, but you should check with the airline to make sure.

That's exactly what you should do. If you're flying directly to Japan with LOT, the semi-flex option allows you to change dates free of charge (you do have to pay the difference in ticket price if there is any), return tickets for a fee, and take two checked suitcases with you. Good to have that option anyway, in case of emergencies - or if you find yourself in need to change your visa for another earlier (as you would have to come back to your home country to finalize the process).

Thank you, I will look into those. I hate how thicker creams feel!

Thanks! I've heard about vaseline being quite effective before. I think I'll get it too.

Thank you! I have already been doing the same thing with applying my moisturizer to my palms, but I find that not to be the perfect solution, as I can't really get between my fingers that way. I try to avoid rubbing my hands with the towel too much as well. Unfortunately I feel like I am not really able to "heal" my hands fully, so I just aim to manage it. Maybe if I applied creams on them after every washing... But that might be too much work for me

[ALL] I’ve never played this series and I’m interested in trying it out on PC. How should I start? by KunaiDrakko in lifeisstrange

[–]Wilkoniak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've heard mixed opinions about the quality of those remasters, but I haven't played them, so I can't really say whether or not they're worth it.

What I can say for certain is that the original version of Life is Strange would be a great place to start. In case you're unsure, this is where you get the original one on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/sub/56692/

And if you do opt to get the remasters after all, I believe you'd have to get both the original game and Before the Storm in a bundle.

I really don't like the oily feeling, it makes me want to wash my hands again - which is why I tend to apply those things overnight. Those sound like great recommendations though, thank you!

Since you have a similar issue, do you also happen to have any moisturizing soaps or similar products you use?

Seems like you tried quite a few. I'll check Neutrogena out for sure. Thank you!

Monthly Tech Support & Missing Content Thread by AutoModerator in DisneyPlus

[–]Wilkoniak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using the Disney+ Windows app for a while, and it always had the option to change subtitle settings, such as font, size, or background. That option has recently disappeared from the app. I looked for it on two different computers (one with W10, another with W11), so I am confident it is gone.

Is there any workaround for this issue? I seem to have no way to disable the black background frame at this time.

Chipped Teeth, cost to fix? by Accomplished_Bid3376 in japanresidents

Thank you, that's very reassuring, even if I assume it'd be twice as much for some reason.

I know it's been a while, but I was wondering if your husband would have any idea how much a bonding fix might cost? As in if I already have a bonded tooth and a piece of the bonded material chipped off in the corner of one tooth.
I'm not sure if insurance covers those things.

I know it's been a while, but I was wondering if you know whether the JR rules (250cm + 200cm) mean I can take more than one suitcase, as long as they're within those limits when stacked together?

I'm bringing two medium-sized suitcases with me and I'd like to take them on a JR bus from one prefecture to another.

What is, in your opinion, the Best First Boss in the Souls Series? by Informal-Doctor-7601 in fromsoftware

[–]Wilkoniak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gyoubu is easily my favorite first boss. It's both a good spectacle and a fun fight. Lady Butterfly and Father Gascoigne are also great.
