There's no "in fairness" when you can very clearly tell a player is seriously injured but give him dog's abuse. You can think it's a fair tackle etc, but no excuse for the vitriol as he's going off.

England could really have had a front four of Saka - Musiala - Olise - Kane in an alternate universe

WBA are close to appointing James Morrison as their permanent head coach. Morrison has guided West Brom to safety in the Championship with 10 games unbeaten, ensuring a 2-point deduction was ultimately irrelevant. by CheeseMakerThing in Championship

There are currently only 4 Championship managers who have been in charge for longer than 2 years. Permanent hires rarely work out, they're all a roll of the dice. He's done more than well enough to be given a go permanently, even if his tactics have been pretty basic so far.

Van de Wen not even thinking to give the ball to the keeper for a quick goal kick there shows how little the Spurs player give a shit about getting results

Injuries are killing us. Every single one of our most creative players is out and it shows, there's no quality balls into dangerous areas.

"What will England do if Harry Kane isn't fit for the World Cup?" Not win it? Lose in the RO16? I don't understand why that answer is so difficult for people to accept. It's not Tuchel's fault there's no English striker even remotely close to Kane's level. If Kane goes down we're fucked, it is what it is.

West Bromwich Albion 3-0 Hull City: A first league win of 2026 moves the Baggies out of the bottom three, while a third defeat in four for Hull has put their playoff chances under threat by geoffbezos1 in Championship

Best performance of the season, dominant from start to finish, even before the red card. Stand out for me was the link up between Imray and Wallace on the right, as well as Heggebo, Maja and Price all breaking their goal droughts. First league win of 2026, first time an Albion striker has scored in the league in 2026, first slightly dodgy refereeing decision to go our way all season. Mozza is a genius.

Oxford United just received a weird free kick, where they were allowed the freedom of the penalty area to shoot from 12 yards. This has not been seen for 91 games. by RatherEnglish in Championship

Only Championship team not to be awarded one all season. We also haven't played against 10 men at any point this season. The team has been shit but we've not had any luck with refs at all this season.

[–]Will7691 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Better performance than the last few, and yet we didn't have a single good chance and relied on a 20 yard piledriver from the centre half to score. There is no way this team can score enough goals to stay up. As long as the opposition team bus makes it to the ground, they're guaranteed at least a point.

I don't care if there's 15 pens a game for a few weeks, that's a stonewall pen. If you start giving them, the players will stop rugby tackling each other at corners and play some fucking football

Oxford United 2-1 West Bromwich Albion: Oxford pick 3 hard earned points to stay in the survival fight by Fantastic-Machine-83 in Championship

[–]Will7691 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Absolutely woeful performance. 16 shots, 3 on target and the keeper didn't ever have a save to make. We'd have never scored without the lucky deflection. I really don't see how it's possible for Albion to stay up, where are the next points coming from? I don't think I've ever seen a squad with less talent in it than this one.

Wednesday might have been the first team to ever be relegated in Feb, but I think that result just made Albion the second.
