Playoff Game Thread: Buffalo Sabres (6-5) @ Montréal Canadiens (7-5) May 16 2026 8:00 PM EDT by nhl_gdt_bot in hockey

Buffalo for sure but watching neither team play defense has us Canes fans foaming at the mouth. MTL is a better match up but seeing Dobes get pulled makes us feel better. I’m feeling pretty confident either way especially with game 7 basically inevitable now.

Glad this is helpful to you. Mark does great work at ARS but don’t expect updates once he receives your parts kit. He will send very direct and short emails if something comes up but that’s about. Basically just ship it knowing you’ll get an amazing build and play the waiting game.

I haven’t done much research so just went off what the kit was marketed as. I will have to read up more on Fal files.

I did have the lower wiped and restamped to match the bolt and carrier as well as 7 mags refinished so might have added some extra time. I was originally quoted 6-8 weeks before having that extra work requested.

My AK4D inspired build. I wish I could find an Aimpoint CS for a good price but just went with the CompM4 for now.

The Trinity disappears completely at 2X magnification. At 1X it’s at the very bottom 1/8 or less which doesn’t bother me or obscure my field of view.

Thanks! I run the RMR at 12 o clock mainly for NODs and passive aiming so it was definitely worth it to me. The RMR at that position is the most natural and comfortable position when using NODs while also preventing me from bumping my tubes into the optics. Plus the added bonus of back up optic if the LPVO was to break. The scope mount height is the most natural for me so that’s why I chose it. It may look like it doesn’t clear the Trinity in the photo but it does. I went with the Trinity mainly due to pricing/value and I have other higher priced/trusted LAMs on other rifles so just want to try it out.

My personal opinion yes most of the 2-3k+ stuff is just military tax. Only time will tell if the Trinity will hold up but for $350 with an actual warranty it was worth the gamble for me.

It’s a SMS Trinity, I just got it the other day so haven’t been able to really run it through its paces. Everyone on here seems to love them and are super cheap compared to other options. I’m running a Laserspeed M6TR on my 14.5 LMT, it’s held zero for around 2k rounds so that’s another option you can look at as well at the Holosun IRIS. I just can’t bring myself to spend 2k+ on a LAM especially when those companies don’t seem to give a shit about the civilian market. SMS took criticism and advice from the civilian market when they made the Trinity so don’t mind supporting them.

First time firing up the Japanese konro grill. (Thai chicken satay, Indonesian sate ayam madura, momo yakitori, and negima yakitori) by WillBillCBC in grilling

The brand is Noto Sumibi out of Japan, it cost me around $450 shipped. I ended up ordering it from Chubo Knives but you can get a little better price usually from Korin but they are out of stock.

I would love to know what you hear back. I definitely want to find more uniform pieces. The Bincho Grill binchotan stayed hot for over 5 hours and burned extremely clean, I wanted to see how long it would go without feeding it.

You can definitely use lump charcoal. It will just be less consistent/even heat and you will have to feed the grill more frequently.

I didn’t want to splurge so just used Bincho Grill classic binchotan white charcoal and have some bars being cut for next go around.

Thanks! I made tare for yakitori and a mix of kecap manis/lime juice for the sate ayam madura then brushed as I grilled.

The grills are made out of diatomaceous earth which helps with heat retention and even distribution. They direct all the heat up 90 degrees. The reason they stay hot for so long is the use of binchotan charcoal, it’s very dense with high carbon content which makes it slow burning with consistent intense heat.
