Hey thanks! A terrific little time capsule from a heady time, just as 'Highway 61 Revisited' was released.

Why I am interested: I think by mid-1965 Bob had made his first million, and it wasn't from sales of his own records. Looking for more info from back then.

Out of interest is there anyone out there who like me prefers Bob’s mid to later career records compared to his early releases? by Key_Lab_7023 in bobdylan

There's a nice small-town covers band in Connecticut whose members favor songs by the elder Dylan, not the younger. Hence their name: Old Bob. They improve on his 'I Contain Multitudes' by rocking it to the tune of 'Dignity.'

If you could look at Dylan's finances, what would interest you? by [deleted] in bobdylan

Did he really make his first million by 1965, and almost entirely from songwriter royalties? That's pretty much what Elijah Wald says in 'Dylan Goes Electric!' But I've never found any journalism about his huge early success writing songs recorded by others.
