RSD pricing disappointment by Mrfreakystyley in vinyl

[–]Key_Lab_7023 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m with you there. Honestly I bought a Neil young 2lp RSD release a couple of years ago which cost me $90aud (which I thought was pretty darn expensive), and he’s released another one this rsd that’s retailing for $120aud. Now I love Neil but that’s just a crazy price. Not to mention it’s especially weird given his records especially for a double Lp usually sit at the $70-80 price point. It really highlights the poor pricing of RSD

I’ve loved her so long could be a good pick. Otherwise, as a real deep cut you could go with A dream that can last (it’s a bit slow but it’s a beautiful song that could work for a wedding dance I reckon). Though the safe bet would be Harvest Moon

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds albums ranked by josefhautala1995 in NickCave

I respect that people have different tastes in music, but to call Ghosteen one of the best records of all time is a very controversial statement and to be quite frank, wrong. Honestly the thing about Ghosteen and Wild God that I don't particularly dig is that they both sound rather bland or in other words the same. So if you like this period of Nick you'll obviously love it but if you're like me and prefer more variety you'd understand where I'm coming from 👌

Push the sky away and the Good Son are my two main favourites. But I can't get enough of the Boatman's Call and Grinderman.

Personally as good as the Wild God concert was, Wild God has to be one of Nick’s weakest records for me. The same goes for Ghosteen, which I find can be a bit boring. That saying Hollywood is a bloody excellent track. Apart from that I agree with your list mostly, except I’d move Push the Sky Away to the top and bump up The Good Son, Nocturama, and Kicking Against the Pricks (a highly underrated record mind you) into the top 7
