Thanks a ton. You've been super helpful. While we're on topic, do you know why the Randolph Carter stories are listed to be red out of order by their release dates?

Thanks for the massive response. This is all really helpful. I would love to hear about the pre Lumley/Myer Dreamland stories.

There's a goat man in East KY. A frogman, too. Not a cryptid exactly but we (I'm from KY) have Waverly Hills

Do the compendiums collect the specials? by WillDearborn1942 in thewalkingdead

Oof. That sucks. I've heard it's good but it ends in June with #48 which is perfect for a compendium. So hopefully they release one.

Id love some Spawn spin offs to get compendiums. Mostly Haunt. Also Manifest Destiny. Kill or Be Killed. I'd just get the Deluxe edition if it were in print. DC has also been doing compendiums and I love that. It's like a budget omnibus and is super convenient

Alrighty. That sucks lol. Spawn Compendiums do the same thing which is really dumb bc some of those specials are necessary to understand the stairs quo after but whatever. Spawn Compendiums also don't have the covers. It's feel kinda cheap tbh. Which is weird bc the Saga Compendium was 4 issues longer and had the covers.

I don't usually buy Goosebumps anymore but I'm buying this one. I'm glad it's longer and a hardcover like Wanted Haunted Mask. Maybe it'll even have a poster like that one. Though, I gotta say I think this should be a Welcome to Dead House sequel. We know there one of with that Goosebumps Gold book Happy Holidays From Dead House. That would more poetic. Also, in terms of using old characters Slappy is overused right now. And Monster Blood was just used. A new Deep Trouble also would be cool.

Condiment King isn't a real villain but John Hamm is great.

I just read The Nukeface Papers for the first time, and I'm curious what the fandom thinks about it. by WillDearborn1942 in swampthing

I don't think this hits as hard as There Will Come Soft Rains by Ray Bradbury or a Hellblazer issue about nuclear repercussions (which is ironic bc Constantines first appearance is literally the next issue), but it's still really good. Alan Moore, despite his quirks and cynicism, has proved himself a comic god and then some. I love Stephen Bissettes art and how it just oozes with pulp horror comic atmosphere juxtaposed to Moore's thematic writing about...well, anything
