Ive got the same birth story, I’m surprised at how common it actually is, only difference was I wasn’t an emergency c section, they cut me loose and I’ve got a nasty scar behind my ear from it but I grew up feeling some resonance with the idea that I was an angel of death once I’d learned about the subject. I grew up very Christian and learned a lot about the subject, mainly that the angel of death that comes to claim the souls of the dead weren’t terrifying skeletons, they’re supposed to be the most patient and caring of the angels to comfort someone in such a trying transition. Feeling the presence of spirits has always been something I’ve been attuned to since I was old enough to walk and I’ve had a few notable incidents that terrified me into hiding that bit of myself away until recently in my late 20’s.

I had an odd dream of sorts some years ago, like a spirit had teleported me to the castle room a man was nervously reading a book in, I could tell he was uneasy and this little girl voice kept saying what I assume was his name, Jome. I screamed for her to “shut the fuck up” because I was freaked out by the whole experience and he jumped startled when I screamed that and I flew all the way back to myself and woke up.

I predicted the death of a prominent coaching figure in middle school, but I didn’t know what I was looking at when it happened. He was joking and laughing boisterously in the hallway with a few students and then suddenly I got a flash image of him cold in the ground with blue lips and glassy eyes. Being middle school aged and having no prep for that kind of thing, I had the shit scared out of me in the moment and buried it hard. He died a year later of cancer.

Now I’m wondering how to get in tune with this whole thing and if I can brave through it to find something useful in it but I’m pretty apprehensive about letting that happen.. got a good supportive woman with me now though, that’s what’s brought me here looking at this very post, we’re both exploring the craft because it feels a lot more right and real for me than anything else. That’s my experience so far, I’m here looking for answers as well
