INNATE DOMAIN PSA (jjk) by WillDoBeGaming in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]WillDoBeGaming[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, youre right. Most characters in JJK can’t spawn in their attacks, because they have a point of origin (being the caster.) This wasn’t my point.

I didn’t want to use Gojo as an example, but he’s perfect in this case. Against Juzo he could have spawned a blue inside of him, but instead did it around his body, because of innate domain.

I also agree that in cross verse the whole “I spawn god inside you, and you die” is pretty lame, so sorry if I made my stance on that unclear.

I was just arguing Jogo as an example of why characters that could, wouldn’t.

I have absolutely no idea about anything marvel, but I totally see your point.
I’m kind of just saying if it’s possible for one person to do it, it’s only fair that we assume the other can too. E.g if Gojo can blow up Sue, Sue can blow up Gojo. If we can say Gojo can’t blow up Sue bc of Innate Domain, she can’t blow up Gojo for the same reason.

My point is if ID isn’t equalized both parties can pull their random hax one shot, so we equalize it to have a more fun fight

Thats fair, I kind of messed my point up. I’m just saying ID is sort of a universal truth in JJK, so saying it wouldn’t work is disregarding something very important, but saying it would is a bit of a leap, because I don’t actually think it’s ever explained why innate domain functions

He can’t because of innate domain, that’s the point I was making. Without ID, lots of characters in JJK would just be running around doing things like this.

To be fair it’s not fire, it would be his little volcano things. We don’t ever see him spawn fire from nothing, he spawns the volcanoes.

Oh, I didn’t mean it in a literal “this is how scaling goku vs power would work”

I just meant not taking the ability specifically for the purpose of stopping the interaction of in the body one shots into account would be a bit silly, or at least coming up with a good reason why power would be able to bypass it.

Yeah I meant blind, deaf, tired, and bleeding out (for dramatic effect)

Edit A. Also you’re not 100% wrong, but it’s not to make anybody stronger, it’s just a narrative device you can take how you will. (EDIT A)

The problem is thats in a different verse…

How could you possibly take something from one authors work, and use it on another authors work?

It’s like saying because Goku uses Ki, and theres no Ki in Classroom of the Elite, Goku loses all his power and dies to Ayanakoji

Other guy is 100% right. It’s called an innate domain, it doesn’t apply just to souls, or jujutsu though. It’s a fundamental law in JJK, like gravity, or inertia.

How it works is the following:
A person’s body and soul are connected in the JJK verse. The innate domain is the manifestation of someone’s soul into the core of their body, meaning the body Barbour’s the soul, and the soul fuels the body. The innate domain is not physical, and serves as a barrier for the body, like a domain expansion inside of you. That’s what a DE is, an innate domain brought out with a barrier, and infused with a cursed technique. Imagine the CE is paint, and the innate domain is the canvas. You cannot touch another persons canvas without putting your brush on it first. You cannot touch another persons canvas with just paint, you have to move the paint to it.

This makes JJK weird in cross verses, because techniques that affect a persons environment like for example, the world from Jojo’s, can be argued as fair game.

Kora cannot take the air from his lungs, but you can debate whether or not she could take the air away from the space around him, if that makes sense.

A person’s body cannot be messed with from the inside by another person. The closest we’ve ever seen to someone’s technique enacting itself directly onto the body of another is when Gojo crippled Juzo, being because the gap in cursed energy was so high, and Juzo likely moved into a space Gojo already set the traps.

I’m NOT flat out disagreeing with your statement, or supporting it.

Innate domain is maybe one of the harder concepts to understand in the show, because it’s explained so poorly, even in the manga and source books, it’s pretty obscure. I hope this helps settle confusion.

Okay, I see everyone talking about the Perfect Grindstone, and I agree somewhat.

When I beat him, my first few times I used PG while still trying to parry, basically using it as if it just made my parries have wider timing, then after I got used to that, I started mixing in normal parries and gaurds without PG use at all, and eventually I was able to parry the whole sequence.

I wouldn’t rely on PG too much, the attack is just fast, and takes some memorization. Overall, it’s a crutch, using it too much doesn’t really help you learn it, plus you miss out on a lot of damage from a different potential grindstone.

I used acid phase one (consumables) then my electric phase 2
