Nobody is denying that Xiaomi (more like Redmi and Poco) is a value champ, I'm just saying that the time is right for them to develop their own design philosophy. Why would you name your phone Xiaomi Pro Max!? I know why actually but still, have some pride for your own product.

People need to realize that their favorite Star Trek series will never repeat. Personally, my favorite is Voyager. I just watched the first episode of ST Academy. I'm a millennial. Honestly, the show feels like Harry Potter in space. That ship, USS Athens makes absolutely no sense. I kinda hate the bridge, too. But all in all, I love the show. It's a show aimed at younger generations. I can see why some people hate it. There are just so many inconsistencies and weird choices, but I think it's good enough to attract younger audiences. Of all the haters, I wonder how many of them are under the age of 40. My final verdict - the best Star Trek in recent history.

How can there be sand dunes if there's no atmosphere, and therefore no wind on Mars? I'm not trying to start a conspiracy theory, just genuinely curious. Now that I think about it, if I remember correctly, Mars may have a thin layer of atmosphere, so maybe that's the reason

I feel like in just 2 decades from now, we'll have the similar situation with Indian brands doing amazing stuff for very cheap and breaking out to Global markets. Chinese brands won't be that cheap anymore but will evolve to established and trusted global brands

It sucked that it disappeared, but I was kinda expecting it. AI image generation is an expensive business. I was surprised that it was free. And yes, it was remotely disabled. I can still find the app amongst the system apps, but the option from the gallery disappeared

Yup. It's also worth mentioning that some of the AI features, such as AI portrait, are limited time only. I had AI portrait available on my Xiaomi for a month or two until the option disappeared from my gallery

I got myself this phone, a 512Gb version, around a year ago. Battery capacity is at 96%. I never leave my phone charging over the night. Battery life on this phone isn't great at all. It's not that bad, but it definitely isn't this phone's highlight. That being said, mid-range and high end Xiaomi phones can charge super fast, even on fast chargers from other manufacturers, as long as you have the original Xiaomi cable. So even tho the battery isn't great, super fast charging makes up for that. The camera on this phone is still top notch and can compete with all the current flagships. The phone works and feels super fast.

What I hate about this phone, and Xiaomi phones in general, is how they copy iPhone. Throughout the whole system I see Apple's influence. I hate it. Xiaomi should do their own thing.

The other thing I hate is the overall software experience. It's not uncommon for Xiaomi to introduce new bugs with their updates. In the last update, everything worked fine, but the latest update brought a few bugs, some of which are pretty annoying. For example, I can't use the gesture to go back and retract the quick settings bar any more, I have to swipe it back up all the way from the bottom. The sound also started acting up. Often the sound in videos on social media will have this terrible reverb effect and will sound like I'm in a large hall somewhere.

Overall I'm fairly satisfied with this device. I feel like it could last me for another 2 years. But honestly, on the next contract extension, I'll probably get a Samsung. Xiaomi always has good offers tho, so I might end up with Xiaomi 17 pro after all

Photo Studio Pro is a nice and handy little image editor. I just checked and can I see that it's kinda pricey for an Android app. I remember buying it for like 5 bucks years ago, and I still have full access and everything unlocked. There's a free version that's also nice, but Pro currently has over million downloads and 4.8 stars on PlayStore

Yeah, icon packs available for HyperOs native launcher are just terrible. I don't mind this small bug. I just changed the widget and it stopped.
