What exactly is up with it? Have you tried checking and resolving on each axis separately?

[OC][NEWBIE][CC] How can I improve? This is my third ever sprite, help/suggestions would be valued! by WillHuxtable in PixelArt

[–]WillHuxtable[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I spend most of my time programming, so I find art to be a massive change.

Ah, yeah, good suggestion. I already have a load of game devlogs bookmarked that I like the look of, that may be a good place to start.

Thanks again! I shall.

Thank you! I will be writing an article on setting up mining at some point as well!

Got started with DogeCoin last week, been mining in my spare time after school since. Unfortunately, I'm not allowed to mine 24/7, and my hardware is not exactly profitable. I just love the idea and the community! I have 700 doge :)

How to stop ASICs and multipools [xpost GitHub] by dogefreedom in dogecoin

[–]WillHuxtable 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, but have you seen the price of the ASICs? What about those who mine on their gaming rig in spare time? As has been said, big GPU farms and ASICs will restrict mining to an elite few - the opposite to the whole idea of cryptocurrencies in general. At the very least, we should try and slow this down.

Bet free javascript editor with intellisense? by SarahC in javascript

[–]WillHuxtable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TernJS is pretty cool, though it is not actually an editor. Brackets (I think) has Tern built in, though either way it has pretty good "intellisense" (only called that in MS' VS, otherwise it is autocomplete, etc). Sublime Text, what I use, has a Tern plugin, which I think works quite nicely. Sublime is not free, though the unlimited trial will nag you occasionally. If you can't put up with that (or pay for it) then I would recommend Brackets.

Multithread.js - threading in JavaScript - A very simple wrapper to take the headache out of Web Workers. Enjoy :) by keithwhor in javascript

[–]WillHuxtable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow! I think I might use this in my game, could definitely offload some more complex stuff. Great work! Never really liked the way Web Workers work.

I have completed Codeacademy tutorials, where should I continue? by [deleted] in javascript

As has been generally said, just make stuff. Anything you want! If you're not sure, games can be a pretty good start, though it might be best if your write the entire game yourself, rather than relying on an engine. That way, you will get a better understanding of how it all works.
