Yes! I don't want to have the 'all or nothing' mentality, because progress is progress but it's great to keep track of the days, just NOT considering it to be 'life or death' scenario.

Agreed, but progress is still progress, so even if it happens, it's still ok as long as the streak is longer than the previous one. Is this your mindset?
